Our family spent a 3/4 day fishing with Captain Mike and his crew. We ranged in age from 13 to 77 and consisted of 5 female and 2 males. We started catching fish immediately each taking turns in the fighting chair. When we started catching grouper we were reeling in several at a time! The final catch of the day was a Marlin! We had a great experience with Captain Mike and his crew. We hope to fish with them again!

The crew on the Talking Fish were great and they put us on the fish in a hurry! We ended up catching grouper, dorado, yellowfin and ended the day with a marlin. Couldn’t have asked for a better one day fishing trip! I will be booking them on my next trip to the area.

This team knows their business. They are professional operators, Captain and crew, that want to put you on the fish. The boat is setup great for sport fish and bottom fish. Randy knows the water and the way the fish move through it. Max and Javier are great mates and took every care of us as guests. We had a full boat and a great run, we would recommend Talking Fish to anyone thinking about a charter in Tamarindo.

We went out with the primary goal of fishing for dinners during our stay, and the mission was accomplished. When the captain says he can guarantee grouper on the Rock fishing, he means it. The only mildly disappointing thing was that our meat had bones in it, but that could just be inevitable and is no reason not to book this charter. Highly recommend, and would book again next time I’m in town.

Hi Alex, so glad you enjoyed your day. When we filet the grouper the crew takes out the big bone lines but leaves the very small line, to be taken out at home before you cook the fish. The reason is that it’s best to do that on a stable environment, trying to do that on the rocky boat usually results in hacking off too much meat. We hope you enjoyed your dinner!
