I’ve been on a number of charterboats and find out pretty quickly how qualified The captain is.  Do they get live bait is probably one of the main things for me. Capt greg had what i call a “sense of fish”. He certainly knew the waters and had that knowledge that only comes with years of experience   Put us on action pretty quickly. 
Unfortunately my grandson got sick and quit fishing after a couple hrs. 
Fishing rods and equipment were excellent the boat is very old however, mechanically you could tell it was sound.  wives and girlfriends might be a little sensitive to The rustic nature of the boat. Lol.  I personally loved it. 
a little surprised that we had to pay someone to clean the fish. My experience is a captain does it and you tip them for it. That said the fellow that did it did a great job. He was very quick and efficient.

Rather expensive trip for a half a day when add tip and fish cleaning for my grandson and I, but I would book again with captain Greg. 

Plan to go back in February March, timeframe for bass and redfish.

We went out on a day when there was a chance of storms, we did have to move around some, but we were always reeling in fish.  Caught a bunch of red grouper but was a bit too small to keep, the one grouper that was big enough was a black and wasn’t in season.  Caught a few nice mahi mahi, and 2 really big red snapper.  Made pretty quick work of getting a variety of sizes of bait, even some live shrimp was caught.  All we used was the big bait.

8 hour trip!!

We met with Captain Greg at 7:30am and got right too it!! He was extremely nice and walked us through what we would be doing for the day, along with what we may catch. We started with fishing around the oyster beds and caught tons of fish as well as a shark and some stingrays. He moved us around to a couple spots and when things slowed down he brought us to Little St George to do some shelling. It was perfectly timed so we actually ate our lunch on the island and did some shelling. Found some pretty neat things and he was ready to pick us up as soon as we got back to where he had dropped us off!! We got back out and did some fishing closer to shore. We didn’t have as good of luck there but we still had such a great time. We went back to the oyster beds to do some more fishing and we were right back to catching them left and right. Even had some crabs that just wanted the delicious meal at the end of our lines. That was pretty comical. He made sure he stretched our trip as long as we could and we couldn’t thank him more. He got us back to shore safe and sound then hooked us up for getting all of our keepers cleaned up. We enjoyed an amazing fish dinner that night. We really enjoyed our experience with Captain Greg and will definitely be back to spend another day with him next time we are down in the area!!!

We had a great time today with Captain Kembro with three boys from 9-17, my son and son in law! We caught over 100 trout, several sharks, and two flounder.  Captain put us on fish at each stop. He also did a wonderful job keeping us safe with storms and lightning threatening us throughout the half day trip.  Can’t wait to come back and go “catching” again!
