The time we spent with Dave was the highlight of our vacation in Destin! The trip started out with some foggy conditions and Dave took our safety as top priority. After a short trip out we got to the bait fishing which was slow but he kept us informed and confident that it would pickup and it did. Then within a few minutes we moved over to the sunken barge and hooked up immediately!The huge amberjacks were active and a blast to catch. We hooked into some big sharks that were awesome to fight. My son and I had the best time with Dave and kept saying how sore our arms were the rest of the day! I would never hesitate to book Dave again he’s worth more than the money!!!

Myself, youngest daughter and oldest daughter’s husband had a great trip with Captain Dave.  He is a hard working guide.  We had a limit of parrot fish (4 dozen under length caught) and 15 vermilion snappers.  He kept us on the fish for our 5+ hour trip.  Son in-law is now hooked on saltwater fishing. He helped my daughter and son in-law with their technique and gave lots of encouragement. I highly recommend Captain Dave for your next saltwater fishing adventures.

If you are trying to find a charter captain with energy, excitement, and knowledge you should look no further than CAPTAIN DAVE.  He called the day before and asked what we were looking for out of our trip and boy did he deliver. Me and my 2 sons could not have planned it any better.  He put us on mingos and bait fish to start and then we went and targeted amberjack. We even hooked up with a 30 minute fight with at least a 200 lb bull shark.  If I was able to give more stars I definitely would.  Thanks Captain Dave, we will definitely book another when we are in the Destin area again.

Captain Dave took us out, forecast showed a different picture than the radar so Captain Dave took us out telling us the water off shore would be better. We did take a rough journey out and found better water as he predicted. We did catch fish but do to the storm coming in and a few sharks and dolphins we didn’t land any large snapper. However Captain Dave put us on fish the whole trip. We caught 6 different species, Red Snapper, Trigger, Puffer Fish, Blue Runner, Squirell Fish, Mahi- Mahi.  We did see Dolphin and a Bull Shark hanging around the boat and plenty of flying fish.  Good trip overall, weather worked out for us, he even took our boys over to spend a little extra time at Crab Island at the end. We’ve been on plenty of other charters and by far the most personable Captain we’ve found yet. Boat and equipment was very nice and he was very helpful hooking up fish for my wife.  Would definitely book with Captain Dave and H & H Sport fishing Charters again.

Capt Dave is 1. An amazing guy and very enthusiastic. He cares about your trip and making sure you have the best time! 2. Knows what he is doing very well and will help people who don’t know what they are doing in a respectful way! 3. Entertaining, even if fish aren’t biting right away which only lasted 30 seconds for us. Capt Dave has great stories! Whether you are a first time angler or a long time veteran new to the area I highly recommend Dave to be your guide! My group and myself have already made plans to make a fishing trip with Capt Dave a Yearly trip.
