We booked a morning trip, captain was late to the launch. Should have been the first sign. When we got to the first spot, he basically gave us rods and a little container of dead shrimp, and said good luck. He then said that he was going to “fish over here” to help us get our limit. That should have been the second sign. Now he is nice enough, and does seem to know how to fish, but I did not pay to watch him pull in the fish. At the very least you would think he would hook a fish, and had the rod over to his clients to to reel in. Didn’t happen. He mentioned how the water was very brackish due to all of the rain they had recently had there and that was cause for the slow bite, which made sense, other than he did not seem to have a problem getting bites. We did come in with 8 keepers, however 7 of them he caught. Very disappointing trip. Guess there is a reason he is the least expensive guide on the bay.

We booked a fishing charter with this service for my son’s birthday, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! Despite the weather and the abundance of fresh water in the bay, we caught over three dozen fish, thanks to the captain’s remarkable experience and adeptness at reading the area. It was truly a memorable trip, and I highly recommend this charter service to anyone looking for a fantastic fishing experience. Can’t wait to book with them again!

Let me start by saying after reading one bad review we decided to still book with him. Let me tell you it was so much fun!!! He knew where the fish were at and the friendly banter made the day go by fast… maybe a little too fast lol. We can’t wait to book with him again!!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!! We caught out limit on black drum and also got a red. I will surely be telling my friends about him!! He also how is out a little longer than the set time. Thank you Captian David!
