After a few hours of trolling since early morning we had nearly lost all hope for a catch. But Captain Nicholas and his crew knew what they were doing, we caught a beautiful Blue Marlin of approximately 170 pounds early afternoon.
Captain and crew gave us assistance and good advice for bringing the fish safely in. A great day to remember!

Bereits der Service mit der Abholung am Hotel war einfach genial.
Danach gleich aufs Boot und ab.
Eine entspannte Fahrt zum Spot und dann ging es von 0 auf 1000 in nur paar Sekunden.
Wir konnten viele Wahoos landen und einen Mahi Mahi. Leider blieb der Traum vom Marlin aus, was aber durch die Professionelle Art & Weise des Teams einfach auch egal ist.
Irgendwann komm ich wieder und dann hol ich Ihn Mir 😅.

Bizarre trip.

A total of maybe 25 words were exchanged over an 8 hour window of (unsuccessful) bouncy trolling. Tried many times to strike up conversation, to ask about the fishery, ask about Mauritius etc. stone walled. First and second mate wouldn’t even make eye contact or acknowledge that we were there. Have been on many many fishing charters and never felt more unwelcome on a boat. Very Confusing.  It was uncomfortable and awkward. It felt like being at a dinner party you weren’t invited to and had no way of leaving. Maybe it was cultural or language barriers that we failed to recognize. Maybe it was an off day.
