One of the best fishing trip I’ve had. We did not even get the entire spread out before we were hook up. We ended up with 5 and two that got off. Can say enough about these guys and not to mention the delicious lunch we were served. I highly recommend this if you want to catch a sail fish.

Let me start by saying George the owner of the boat is a great guy. He was in contact with us 100% of the time. Captain Jose knows how to find the fish. We went 25 miles out and started to see dolphins. A sure sign that feeder fish were around. A little ways further and we saw more dolphins than I’ve ever seen in my life. 100s maybe thousands of them. As soon as we dropped lures in the water we were double hooked. There was just my wife and I fishing so it was busy for both of us. Large Yellow Fin Tuna were caught one after the other. Then the captain and I saw a Black Marlin following the boat. The mate threw a small live bait in but couldn’t hook it. He then used the smallest tuna, maybe 15-20 lbs and hooked it! The Black Marlin was a beauty. It danced all around the boat as it fought. Billfish are catch and release here so he went back in. More Yellow fin and we hooked the Blue Marlin! He also skipped across the water beautifully for us. An incredible day fishing. We have fished all over the world and never caught as many fish so quickly as we did with the Papi Chulo!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Incredible day out on the water Sunday. We boarded with Papi Chulo out of Potrero and zipped down the coast to see if we could find anything. After an hour we hooked a big blue but didn’t quite get it to the boat, but the boys got to start to see a show. Reset and was able to hook and boat a 120lb sailfish! Bucket list moment for this old guy. Elliott was able to big in a big blue marlin (around 300lbs) but didn’t get any great pictures because we were all working as a team to bring in. Costa Rica doesn’t allow bringing the fish aboard so a bit harder. In all we raise 6 and brought in 2. Epic day.

It was a slow start to the day and it was a rough day on the water but we landed 3 nice size sailfish. The captain and first mate were top notch and very helpful. They were also very accommodating for me to mount my GoPro cameras on the boat. They had drinks and lunch also.

The trip was great from start to finish, crew was very professional. They were ready to head out as soon as we got there and put us on fish fast. Wnded the day with 5 big mahi and a nice wahoo with many other hook ups. Boat was kept spotless and were very friendly. Highly recommend
