We recently chartered with Captain Tony and First Mate Russ and had a fantastic family experience. 

We were treated with wonderful hospitality and insights as we set off pre-dawn to get the the Fishing Grounds Capt Tony had in his bag of tricks for the day. 

Russ was an amazing host, teacher and role model for our family and was worth his weight in gold in gold—prepping bait, rigging lines and helping Capt Tony position us over hotbeds of fish.  As soon as lines were dropped we were getting “Fish on!” From both side of the boat—so fun to watch my family all catching fish.  Great action and not too much time has passed before we limited out on our Vermillion Snapper. 

We they spent the remainder of the time trolling for some most fiesty fish.  Got some Bonito to hit and fun to bring it. 

Memories for a lifetime for everyone and full bellies for 3 days afterwards with fresh catch prepared at local nearby restaurants for “Cook Your Catch” just extended the fun of the day we had the Capt Tony and Russ.

We started the day with some trolling and even with it being March the Captain put us on some fish, we caught some nice King Mackerels before turning to bottom fishing. We ended the day with Lane and Vermillion snapper and a total of 26 fish. Captain Tony and his mate kept the bite strong and we will definitely be fishing again on the Hig Tide.

We ( myself and my two brothers) did a 12 hour fishing trip with Captain Tony and his first mate on Hog Tide. The first mate worked extremely hard, baiting the lines, helping us unhooking the fish we reeled in and watching lines to be sure we knew when fish were on the lines. As novice off shore fishermen his help was much needed. We went about 10 miles off coast. We caught plenty of fish. 5 barracuda, 4 King Mackerel, and 5 trigger fish. We also caught few Bonitas, and lots of smaller fish which were not keepers, and a few others that were. The weather was a bit spotty, had some rain, I wish I had remembered rain gear. And I got a bit sea sick. We saw some dolphins and although dolphins are fun to see apparently they kept impolitely nibbling the bait. They were basically the first mate’s nemesis. But he took it gracefully even if he did flip them off after about the 10th time they ate our bait off the line 😂. We had a great time. I would do this again, but maybe take up my brothers on their offer of dramamine next time. Thank you both for a great day!!!

Captain Tony and mate Travis was knowledgeable and prepared, there was plenty of room to fish or stand to look at the open sea. There is a bathroom available and AC inside the cabin. I took my family, my wife and 4 teenagers. The boys really loved the experience even though they were sea sick. I would recommend motion sickness patch a day ahead of the trip for the kids, this was definitely a trip to remember. Highly recommend you book with them for a great experience. Captain even stop the boat midway so my wife could take pictures with the kids, “happy wife, happy life.” They help put bait on, help reeling in big fishes, good with the kids, and over all this trip was awesome.

We had a great day fishing with Captain Tony and his First Mate Travis. We caught so many species of fish there’s too many to list, plus I likely can’t remember them all. Some include kingfish, blackfin tuna, mahi mahi, snapper varieties, amberjack, barracuda, and shark. My son also caught his biggest kingfish ever at just under 35 pounds. Travis was simply great at keeping everything going for everyone, and Captain Tony was really good at putting us on fish. Highly recommended.
