What an Awesome Experience!  This, by far, was my best fishing day ever!  Hats off to the entire crew for making this trip spectacular!  Captain Rob got us out to a great spot and Josh and Sean took care of us manning the poles and providing top notch service!  We landed 7 Yellowfin Tuna and capped off the day bringing in a 107 Lb Blue Marlin!  This crew made it happen and will always look to go out with this team the next time I visit Kauai!  Thank you Rob, Sean, Josh and Makai Sportsfishing!

My husband and I went fishing this morning with Captain Rob and Sean.  A nice gentleman from Germany joined us on the fishing trip as well.  The boat was great.  I tend to get sea sick so I take medication.to combat this, however: the meds tend to make me sleepy as well as getting up at 4:45am.  The sofa in the cabin was the perfect spot for a nap as we began our journey out.  The men had already caught a few skip Jack tuna when I woke up.  Captain Rob was great about finding the fish and before we knew it we had caught some.more skip Jack tuna as well as yellow fin tuna.  Sean was a great deck hand and very knowledgeable about the fish and the islands.  He also enjoys cooking so we got to chatting about the different methods for preparing the tuna. Sean also was continuously cleaning the boat so it stayed nice and clean.  I enjoyed watching g him methodically clean
and filet all the fish.  There was plenty of fish for the 5 of us.  We would definitely recommend Makai Sportfishing for your next fishing adventure.

Rob, Sean and Silas provided an amazing trip for us. Everything from the boat ride, conversations and catching the fish was top notch. We were lucky and caught 3 yellow fin tuna. The crew was professional but also very personable. When the trip ended, we felt like we made friends as well. We will def book with them again when we come back.

This was my first ocean adventure. We basically surfaced fished by trolling for whatever would bite, but we did catch a few Skipjack Tuna - 1 was mine, which tasted awesome. The Captain took us to the expected locations - where birds were, jumping tuna, bouyee, etc. The First Mate - Sean - was very instructive on fishing, but also informative about Kauai and was able to keep the conversation going amongst all the clients. Would I go with Makai Sportsfishing again? Yes.

Having fished around the world and in HAWAII before this boat exceeded all expectations the 2 Captains extremely knowledgeable and put the boat on fish. We landed 1 Blue Marlin and have multiple strikes, landed Ono and several tuna. I would highly recommend!!!!
