I have fished in many places with many guides but our day fishing with Mike and Anglers Edge will be a cherished fishing memory for my son and I.

Mike put us on the fish immediately, which led to virtually non stop action from the moment he found his spot. We were fortunate to come at a time when the fishing was good, but Mike also was clearly outfishing the rest of the fleet on the day we were aboard.

We were blessed with a perfect day aboard Capt Mike’s well equipped 24’ Grady White. My son, who is 7, and myself are very interested in all marine eco systems, and Mike was able to answer all of our questions with his wealth of knowledge about his local fishery. He clearly has a passion for the marine eco system he is a part of.

Mike is excellent with young children, my son is a capable angler, but listened to all of Mike’s advice and very much enjoyed his time spent with Mike. He’s a better fisherman for it!

Mike’s tackle and equipment is first class, and he is meticulous about his tackle and his technque, emphasized by put hook up ratio being almost 100% for the day.

In all we released 13 salmon on our morning charter, almost all over 15lbs and several being in the 20lb class. Mike also assisted us in registering one kept fish of 23.6 lbs for the Ontario Salmon Derby, which will be a great memory for my son.

All in all we had a truly wonderful experience with Capt. Mike. From the second we stepped on board to the second we shook hands to say good bye our experience was absolutely first class. Mike is a world class capt with a wealth of experience and excellent attention to detail. Both my son and I highly recommend Capt Mike and Anglers Edge for your Salmon fishing experience. As above our day aboard with Capt Mike will go down as a cherished memory and among our top fishing experiences ever.

Also of note, Mike was extremely responsive during the booking process. Our original date did not work for Mike so we worked incredibly quickly to find us a new date that worked for us. He responded to all my messages within minutes on the booking engine.

Went fishing with Capt. Mike Attard,of Anglers Edge on a beautiful Lake Ontario evening. We had originally booked a morning trip for the previous week. Mike called me and asked if we could change our day and time ,because conditions on the lake had changed and the fishing was slow. He said the conditions would improve after a few days when the lake settled down. Boy was he right. In 4hrs. of fishing we hooked up 11 times, and boated and released 8 Kings and 2 Chinook. Mike kept us on the fish the whole time. This guy really knows his stuff, he was great with my 12 yr.old son and wife, he had them reeling em in like seasoned pros by the end of the trip. Bottom line book with this guy you won’t be disappointed. Great guy, great boat, excellent knowledge = Great fishing.

We just had an pretty impressive and comfortable fishing trip with captain Mike. We did catch many impressive fish with captain mike.

Mike is pretty beginner-friendly guy, We are group of four and literally 3 of us are beginners. He setup everything for us. A beginner just need wait for fishes bite, and reel in that fish then caught a good fish! BTW, mike taught us hand to hand in detail, like when to reel in, when to up the rod and so on. 11 fishes on that day, and we finally caught 10 out of 11. I feel that gain should mostly thanks to mike’s detailed teaching.

Not only during the trip but also before the trip.

It is late April, and weather is not really friendly. Weather really do not coop to us, the wind just change suddenly sometime. Mike really check the weather many times and confirm that with me again and again. I can feel his sincerity across screen. Fortunately, We manage to have a good trip in the end.

Otherwise, Mike is pretty conversable, we chat on fishing experience about pike, bass, sturgeon and others. will certainly come back and have the other trip with mike.

We got a 20 pounder which gave my son an awesome fight. He loved every minute of that fight.  Got a couple more nice size salmon.  This trip isn’t a fish a minute, it’s going for the bigger ones and it doesn’t disappoint there.  The fish we got gave us nice fights which made it worth it to him.

I chartered Mike at Angler’s Edge Fishing Charter for our anniversary, we had never done one before and it was so calm and peaceful with great weather on our day.  The fish weren’t biting crazy but when they did they were a great size.  It was exciting reeling them in.  I would definitely recommend Captain Mike he is a very nice chill guy!  Thanks
