A friend and I hired Coach Steve for a morning on Longboat Key. It was the first time for my friend but the fifth or sixth time for me. Steve put us on fish, helped us present the bait and bring in the fish. First time saltwater fishing for two of the three of us, and boy did we have fun! Captain Steve was patient and very helpful. In spite of the water being rather rough, we all caught some fish and learned a lot. Some of the catch was too small to keep, but the catching was a blast and included whiting, lady fish, a snapper, two flounder and a premium pompano! I think we maybe hooked! 🎣

First time saltwater fishing for two of the three of us, and boy did we have fun! Captain Steve was patient and very helpful....

Well let’s say, I’m an avid fisherman from Maine. I wanted to learn to fish from shore while I spend my first winter here in Florida. Today was what I would have to call EPIC. BEST EXPERIENCE, for my first time fishing saltwater in general I tell you what when you go fishing with the captain things happen, Boy it sure did happen bit of a cold morning but the fish didn’t care so neither did we. 3 of us went with Capt Steve for 3 for no boat beach fishing. The water was a bit rough, so the fishing was not great. We caught some whiting and lady fish, one person caught a pompano that was a keeper and a flounder that was too small. All and all it was a a fun day.

This was my one request from my family and we had an absolute blast! My three boys & I all caught pinfish, & it was the highlight of our vacation! It was so much fun fishing off the pier (eldest has motion sickness). Red Tide was full force - Captain found the pier more north on LBK that was unaffected. I highly recommend for a fun family morning!
