When booking I specifically said that we mostly wanted to fish for tarpon but also bonefish and permit. The only bait on the boat was crabs for bonefish and permit. When I asked the captain about going after tarpon, he said they were mostly caught at night. This was never mentioned during booking. Due to the email only format of this I was unable to speak directly with anyone. They picked us up right in front of our quaint resort, Turtle Cove, which I highly recommend. Our guide, Carlos, was very nice and knowledgeable about the fish. He did put us on fish. We caught about 8 snapper and a dozen bonefish. Be prepared to provide your own lunch. We arrived in Belize after stores had closed and our charter was the next morning. HI Well first of all I am glad that you caught fish! 12 bones and about half a dozen snappers is actually considered a good here!
I have to apologize for the Fly reel since my captain mistakenly took the old one that the line needed changing. I do have new reels. On fly fishing trips usually only one angler can fish at the same time . They take turns. My spinning is brand new! Just bought over Christmas. Shimano 4000 in good condition. So I do not understand why it was not working. The captain assures me there was no problem with it. Lunch is not included on my fly fishing trips. That you can confirm on your fishing contract.
