I’ve fished the OBX of North Carolina many many times and caught everything from tuna, rock fish, king mackerel, sea trout and many more. The captain was fantastic. He explained everything that was going to happen and what he expected of us before we left the dock. We were fishing within 20 mins of leaving the marina. Idk. Rough seas seem to be a part of any of the charters that are out of San Juan. Doesn’t mean you won’t catch fish. But hey, me and my fam did not on a 6hr trip in July. It is what it is, but remember rough seas and no fish is a bad day for those that don’t fish a lot. My advice would be to check other parts of Puerto Rico for charters in the summer months. Maybe San Juan is better during winter ans spring seasons?
