I was in contact for two days before the trip with the charter owner. Late season with variable weather made choices difficult. He worked had to check with other captains to see where fish were being caught and with what method. We ultimately bought one day Canada licensees online and drift fished a shoal in Canadian waters. My fishing expectations were completely met with Captain Luke and very affable First Mate Zach. The both worked hard and were quite patient teaching us a new technique to catch walleye. A group of 5 of us ranging from 76 to 18 years old went out with Captain Shawn and first mate Jay this morning and came in with a load of Perch. Shawn and Jay could not have been better to us and were always worried about what we wanted to do and would give great recommendations. Shawn worked hard putting us on fish but when he did what a blast. Definitely recommend Champion Charters for a great experience on Erie.
