I was on bottom fishing trip with a friend and it was phenomenal. Boat is really well equipped with best fishing rods and live bait. Host is communicative and really knows the best positions for this and helps you to learn how to catch it and how to not lose the fish. Boat itself is really fast and mobile so we didn’t lose much time on travelling between positions. We caught a big dentex which was a once in a lifetime experience. 10/10 would recommend :)

Filip and his mate were great! They took us to many different sites and explained the basics of fishing. They seem very respectful of the environment and sustainability. We didn’t catch much but it was fun none-the-less!

We had a really nice trip with captain Filip. The weather was really nice, the sea calm and Filip gave us really lots of information - not only about fishing here in Istria and I think he knows a lot about it - but also about the country and the people living here, the nature itself and the special things about the climate and the winds here in that region and many other things.

First we fished by trolling 2 Hardbaits for a Live Bait. We caught a little Mackerel. The second Step he had planned was bottom fishing at several places. We caught a big snapper and a few smaller fishes for Dinner and the last step he planned was trolling with electric drive with one live and one dead bait for much longer time we had paid for!

At the bottom fishing we first were „disturbed“ by some dolphins, so we had to change the place and on the other places there were often big swarms of sardines around us, which had perhaps minimized our changes to catch fishes.
By the trolling for Amberjacks or Dentex we didn’t had enough luck to catch one of these.

However, Filip is a really nice guy, he teached us many new information about the fishing here (and many more things) and he gave us more time and really wanted to help us to catch one of the bigger fishes!
