Typically, getting crabs is not something one talks about. However, we left with a bushel and a half of blue crabs, and a few fish after our 4 hour tour with Grandpa (Russell) and Mike, the mate. Can’t share enough how enjoyable the charter was and how much my family preferred it over other charters we’ve taken. We learned a lot about crabbing, why we could t keep the flounder, and the OBX in general. Highly recommend him and will be going back for shrimp soon.    

We booked this trip as something different to do and it did not disappoint. Capt Russell and Mike were great even with our two daughters (8/10), this is a hands on charter and we absolutely loved it! We are already planning to go back later this year!!

We arrived at location a little early.  Greeted warmly by staff at the ship store.  We left on time had great detailed instruction.  Great working relationship between captain and first mate.  Great experience wish the review could be a 10 not just the 5 star.  Will definitely be returning for another trip,  hopefully in the fall when the shrimp are running better.

We thought we were going fishing but found out we were going shrimping.  Which was perfectly fine, since we had never done it before.  Had a great time and caught lots of shrimp and crabs.  Of course being rookies, we had to scramble to figure out how to clean them when we got back to the vacation rental, which wasn’t quite set up for it.  All-in-all a great experience capped off by a frenzy of a night.  Was the 3rd time booking with Grandpa and will definitely do so again next trip to...
