If you live deep sea fishing, truly recommend it. Capt Marcelino and his mate Giovanni were first rate and we had a great time. We caught wahoos and tuna and it was just a fun day at sea. 4 hours in morning was great, we still had rest of day to enjoy beach, lunch, pool at our hotel.

We only hooked up and landed one Wahoo, but the captain and mate worked incredibly hard to get on the fish. The mate was constantly changing lures/baits to try something new. Boat was nice with two fighting chairs and plenty of room to relax, and a bathroom. Would definitely fish with them again. Also easy walking distance from most of the hotels at Palm Beach.

We left the dock a few minutes early and had lines in the water less than 10 min later.

Side note, I almost brought my 4 year old, but glad I didn’t as the seas were a bit rougher than I expected. Totally fine, but could see kids not enjoying all the rocking. If you’re kids can handle the waves or you have an extra set of hands (I was solo) than they’d probably be just fine.

My wife and I had one of our best fishing trips ever!!! Captain Marcelino and Robin put us on the fish. Robin is the hardest working guy that I’ve ever seen on a boat. The boat is setup perfectly and the equipment is top-notch. We had lines in the water within 5 minutes of leaving the dock.

We caught 7 big Blue Wahoos and 8 small Blackfin Tuna, along with a bonita and a small barracuda. We lost 4 other fish, with 3 of those being Blue Wahoo.

The fishing in Aruba isn’t for the faint of heart though. We were out in huge swells and the guys are pretty straight forward when you get a fish on the line, which is understandable. They are there to help you put fish in the boat. We highly recommend booking with this company.

The only suggestions I would have would be to maybe back the drag off a little bit when they see people struggling to reel the fish in. (My wife was only able to reel 2 or 3 in and I struggled reeling most of mine in.) The only other thing would be to maybe explain a few things before we start catching fish, ie which chair turns all the way, how to hold the line/rod while reeling, just because everybody does things their own way.

Captain Marcelino was awesome and handled the boat well. It was our first time deep sea fishing and he and his first mate Robin explained everything and made our experience a blast. Pretty rough morning but Marcelino said at anytime we were uncomfortable he would turn around to calmer water but maybe not have a lot of action but could finish out or time. These guys were great and I would recommend them to anyone. We will definitely book with Marcelino and Sunrise Charters. We did get some action and landed a black fin tuna. Weather was rainy which at the end, made a fun unique trip. My prior deep sea fishing experiences involved going out 3 to 5 miles and stop. If no fish, drive to new spot. This one was on the go the whole time. Reels baited and once a fish bit, the reel in.
Captain Gerry was great. My wife caught the biggest fish and he came down, coached her all the way in. Robert, the crew hand, not too friendly.
Overall, a fun experience.
