Big thank you to Gavin from Cairns Port Douglas Sportfishing. A wealth of experience that clearly paid off. We booked a 4 hour estuary trip which put us into 7 species in total. Highlight was the Barramundi secrete spot. Hooked onto 6 Barra Landed 2 - 74cm & 75cm Released 1 Caught and lost a trophy Barra meter plus leaving out of the water. Great guide and highly recommend. Been on a few different charters and this one was by far one of the best ones we’ve ever been on Gavin was an awesome captain and made everyone feel really welcome on the boat and really made a great experience and we caught lots of fish Definitely be back for more.

Gavin was grouse, very well set up boat; took us to some great spots and nailed a few fish. Also a really nice bloke! Next time we’re back we will be back out with him again - cheers. Also the coral trout was delicious we cooked it later that night.

Live and dead bait through the estuary. Low receding tide conditions tough but he still put us on some fish and was great company the whole time. Hope to make it back to Port Douglas during barramundi season some day!
