My son and I had the most amazing experience with Captain David! From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made us feel welcome and at ease. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, especially with my 7yr old son. We caught several different types of fish but the highlight of our trip was catching rooster fish. The excitement on my son’s face when he reeled in his first one is a memory I’ll cherish forever. Captain David was right there to guide us, ensuring we had the best chance of making a catch. I’m a part time commercial fisherman in Hilo Hawaii, so frequently target most of the same pelagic fish available in Cabo.  I messaged David it would be cool to catch a rooster fish.  I had a half day to fish before my group arrived so I booked a morning on the panga.  Carlos and David were great the entire trip.  I arrived a little early, we fueled up,  stopped for a license, and grabbed bait on the way out of the harbor.  We slow trolled live baits, went 3 for 5; catching 2 Sierra and 1 rooster.  Mission complete!  Couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Great captain and crew. Carlos and David were professional and hard working. We were fishing as soon as we left the marina and hooked up on several nice Bontio very quickly. After that we bottom fished and caught some white fish and then ended the day trolling for large pelagic fish. Overall a great day and we will be sure to book again next time we are in San Jose Del Cabo!

My sons and I went out with El Capitan Carlos for a half day fishing trip. We trawled using lures and also used bait (sardines). We caught Amberjack, Sierra and even caught a Roosterfish trawling on the way back. Carlos has 30 years of experience fishing the waters off San Jose Del Cabo!!!

Captain David and first mate Freddy were a good crew.  We caught two small groups, two snapper, and a Sierra.  I would recommend them for more experienced fishermen.  This was our first time and generally they would just hand us the pole and then tell us what we did wrong after we did it.  They were very friendly and accommodating and I think if we had known what to ask them we would have.  For example, we left the location where we were catching fish and headed out into the sea.  We found out later we trolling but didn’t catch anything and didn’t do anything but listen to them talk in Spanish and watch the sea go by.  I’m sure they would have done whatever we’d asked but I didn’t realize we were even fishing until later.  Again, great crew for experienced fisherman but an inexperienced crew for new fisherman, if that makes sense.
