End of December charter, weather was 60F, water temp 56F. Captain Perrin knew the areas well. We started out at the jetty, wind only 8mph but the waves were 5 footers there. We stopped at 3 diff spots that normally produced but could not get even one bite on the live shrimp. None of tge other boats out were getting much of anything either. Capt decided to get us back into the inlet and we tried about three spots but couldnโt get a thing to bite there either. none of the other boats were getting anything either as well. We still had 90 min and exit tide was at 50% so back out to the jetty.ย Capt Perrin picked a favorite spot and we started getting into the sheephead pretty regular. Looking around at a few other boats, they werent getting anything!ย We didnโt get into anything really big but we still kept catching fish all the way up to the time to leave.ย Looked like we were one of the lucky one considering how odd the fishing was that day.ย We enjoyed Capt Perrin and the conversations and stories. Looking forward to trying Murrells Inlet with Capt Perrin again in the future.
