Caught Red Snapper and a small Grouper. The Sailfish and Roosterfish weren’t biting unfortunately. Overall great trip. My only negative comment was that the Captain doesn’t take credit card or Venmo payments on the day of the trip, otherwise I was completely satisfied:)

We had a great time on our trip with Captain Mendez. We caught 3 sailfish, and they brought pineapple/chips/drinks for us which was very kind! We just wish the captain had introduced his mate or spoken to us more throughout the trip. It was 8 hours and they didn’t talk to us very much. We threw back our fish, not sure why. But great experience and loved catching these big beautiful fish!

Costa Rican fishing boat. Perfectly adequate and well maintained. If you’re expecting an ultra-modern fishing boat go elsewhere, if you want to catch fish with an experienced local use Juan Carlos.

Had a good trip out on a solo trip caught probably 10 fish total none of the big sportfish were biting, but that’s fishing. waves picked up and we got wet on the way back in but that didn’t stop us from trying to get a rooster even giving me extra time to try and get one we hooked a big GT which ended the trip with high fives and smiles can’t expect a trophy every trip all in all good experience
