My son and I traveled from Boston to Treasure Island and took a day to go fishing. We fish a lot at home and wanted to see what fishing was like here. We booked a 6 hour trip with Scotty J’s hoping for a good day and Captain Rich delivered more than we expected. Captain Rich makes you feel welcome from the minute you meet and after just a few minutes you feel like friends. We caught at least 20 fish, could have been more but I lost count.  We were both able to catch a redfish and cross that species off our list, unfortunately mine was a little smaller. We are already planning another trip with Captain Rich, my son has dreams of Goliath Grouper.  I would absolutely recommend Scotty J’s to anyone looking for a fun day on the water.

Everything was perfect. At first we weren’t sure if the weather was going to cooperate earlier in the week. Captain Rich stayed in touch all week with updates. The day before the trip he made the call that the weather was going to work in our favor.

From the first stop to the last line in the water, captain Rich kept us on the fish. We took our fileted fish back to our hotel where they cooked it for us.

Our son gave the day a top ten days of his life nomination. If you are considering booking a charter, look no further than Scotty Js. The conversations are great, his boat is beautiful, and we caught a lot of fish.

My wife and I booked this charter for a day out on the water during our honeymoon. I have been on a lot of charters and this was the best experience I have ever had. Captain Rich was in contact the day before to talk about the weather conditions and we ended up changing our plans from an offshore trip to a bay trip do to rough chop. The Captain was honest with us and made the changes very easy with no hassle. Captain Rich helped us land a few fish and made a slower day on the water very fun. He even took the scenic way back into the marina so my wife was able to get some awesome photos of the islands and lighthouse. The boat was very clean and all the equipment worked properly. We are from up north and I will defiantly be flying back down with my entire family to go fishing again with Captain Rich.

Captain Rich made our first charter a memory of a lifetime! Captain Rich contacted me the night before and gave me a breakdown of what to bring and to when we arrived at marina. The morning of our trip he contacted me to let’s know that if the weather picks up we might have to fish in the Bay, and if that would be ok with us.
CPT Rich picked us up and off we went weather was cooperative. I asked Captain for two thing. First was that my son gets to catch fish and if I can get a picture of a dolphin for my daughter…. I was a happy Dad. My son caught the most fish and the most keepers Sheepheads and Groupers. We also got to see a school of barracuda. It looked like 100 of then chasing bait but not biting. On they way in we fished the Bay just to have a chance to see dolphins. We caught fish by the Skyway Bridge and the best was seeing dolphins so close you could almost touch them. Kid caught fish and I got my picture of dolphin for my daughter. Was
a Perfect day for me!

Captain Rich made the trip enjoyable with his friendly personality. It was like being out with a friend. He won me over when he put my son to work.
We cant wait to do it again!!!

This was by far the best trip we have been on to date.  Captain Rich was able to put us on fish the moment we got to our location.  The boat was very clean and yes ladies, it does have a bathroom as well as some shade if you need it. We packed our snacks and lunch for the day but were so busy catching fish, having some beverages,  and chatting it up with Captain Rich that we never got around to eating anything until we got back to the marina.  I would highly recommend this trip for all ages.  I look forward to going again in July and hoping to be able to book an 8 hour trip because 6 just wasn’t enough!  Cheers to a great time Captain Rich!!!  Although Sean may have caught the largest, I caught the most :) Just wanted to make sure I documented that to keep the competition alive!
