Catchin In The Keys Charters 

Damian was first class in every aspect. His boat was new and in great condition, he was welcoming and friendly, and he provided exceptional service throughout the entire trip. We did the 4-hour trip out to the reef beds and he had us on fish almost the entire time. I have three boys (ages 19-10) and they all three had a blast, saying, “it was the best trip ever.”. We caught snapper, hogfish, porgies, and jacks. My youngest son even hooked a mackerel and fought it for a few minutes before it cut the line. We had barracuda on the hook on two separate occasions so there was plenty of activity for the entire trip. We will definitely come fishing here again, but I will never use another captain other than Damian. I have neen on chartered trips before, and “Catching in the Keys” is on a different level of service. Do yourself a favor and book with them.

Captain Damian was a great host for this fishing trip. We are from Europe and wanted to experience some Keys fishing action and he definitely did not let us down. He knew all the best spots and was so so helpful, working the whole time without rest, making sure we had the best experience ever. Huge thanks to Captain Damian for this amazing day. If we ever come back to the Keys, we will for sure be reaching out to him again. 10/10, would honestly highly recommend! Of course, plenty of fish were caught as well :)

We had an incredible experience with Catchin In The Keys Charters in Key Largo—hands down the best fishing charter we’ve ever been on in the Upper Keys. My son and I have been on several fishing charters, and this one truly stood out above the rest. Captain Damian was outstanding. He worked tirelessly the entire trip, constantly adjusting and making sure we were in the best spots. You can tell he really knows Key Largo fishing—we were on fish consistently, and it felt like he always knew exactly where to go. Luckily the fish were hungry, but just as important, the captain knew how to find them. We went fishing the last week of February, soon after a cold front had come through and cooled the water enough to make the fish lethargic and scattered. But Captain Damian took us to a spot where he knew fish would be, and the first cast it was “fish on “. We caught mangroves snapper and Jack during the afternoon. At the end of the day, I unexpectedly tied into a large black tip shark that was estimated to be between 6 and 7 feet long and weighing over 100 pounds. It took about half an hour to get it to the boat, extending our time on the water. On Damian’s recommendation, we took fileted snapper to a local restaurant for a great meal to end the day. If you are looking for a great fishing trip with a captain who knows his stuff, look no further. Next time we are in the Keys I will be fishing with Damian Estrada.

We had a phenomenal fishing experience with Captain Damian. The weather was perfect, for being in the middle of winter. The fishing was exciting and fun and our captain was amazing! Captain Damian did a fantastic job putting us on fish right away. It was our first saltwater experience for my son, my brother-in-law and I to fish from a boat in the keys. Captain D took us to many great spots throughout our journey in the Everglades and every spot produced fish. We saw many species of fish including tarpon, snooks and sharks but only managed to catch snappers, jacks and baracudas, which were exciting enough for us. We also saw a manatee cow and her calf and a dolphin. Towards the end of our trip, Captain D put us on a school of giant jacks that were feeding viciously in the shallows. Knowing that we were already running out of our allotted time frame, he asked if I had anywhere to be that afternoon. Of course I said, "No". I wanted to keep on fishing. We all did! Captain D spent almost 2 extra hours beyond our alotted time frame chasing that school of giant jacks all over the flats. It was one of the most exciting fishing experiences I have ever had in my entire life and I fish a lot. Every time he maneuvered the boat to within casting distance of the school, our eyes lit up and fingers would shake with excitement. We caught as many as we could and doubled up a couple of times on those giants jacks. We tried tripling up but there was always one that got away. It was so much fun for the three of us. We had such a blast! Captain Damian created memories that will never be forgotten. I highly recommend Captain Damian and his charter for his professionalism, his experience as a fisherman and his kind and friendly demeanor. We can't wait to go fishing with him again.
