(5 Hour – Ceviche, Beer & Dip (AM))

Made the absolute best out of an off season trip

Knew we were doing an off season trip and we were not doing well trolling, so we turned it into bottom fishing trip and had a great time! They also made an outstanding ceviche from some of our catch! Thank You

Cubera Snapper fishing is all about power and grit. Cubera Snapper are the largest Snappers and famous for brutal fights and sharp canine teeth. Anglers target them for true trophy potential and hard, fast runs. Many keep smaller fish for the table and release the big ones.

You will usually fish reefs, wrecks, and rocky ledges. Bottom fishing with strong tackle and live bait is the classic approach. Heavy leaders, abrasion‑resistant line, and firm drag settings help turn fish from structure. Jigging uses metal lures worked vertically. Popping means casting floating lures that splash to draw strikes on shallow reefs.

Expect a tough first run and a stubborn battle near the bottom. This trip suits anglers who enjoy heavy tackle and close‑quarters fights. Beginners can do well with guidance, and kids may target smaller fish. Bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and non‑slip shoes. Pack snacks, water, and motion‑sickness remedies if you need them. Ask your captain what is provided and what to bring, like gloves or a cooler for fillets where allowed.

Before your trip, check local fishing license and permit rules. Review open seasons, harvest regulations, and size or bag limits for Snapper where you fish. Rules change by area, and some places require releasing larger breeders. When in doubt, follow your captain’s advice and handle fish carefully for a safe, responsible Cubera Snapper fishing experience.
