    great trip very enjoyable

Great Experience with Captain Taylor! We had a great day on the water with Captain Taylor. The fishing was slow today, but Captain Taylor worked hard the entire time to put us on fish and kept us motivated and optimistic. We did catch fish, just unfortunately nothing that was a keeper — and from what we heard, other boats were experiencing the same conditions. What really stood out was Captain Taylor’s effort, knowledge, and determination to make sure we had a great experience regardless of the conditions. He never gave up and continued working to find the fish. Even though we didn’t bring home any keepers, we had a great time and would absolutely recommend Captain Taylor to anyone looking for a hardworking, knowledgeable, and personable fishing captain. We’ll definitely be back!

Great trip with new coworkers/new friends

    Экскурсия на 2 часа – Прибрежные воды (7:00) • 4 взрослых

I was only in Florida for 1.5 weeks and wanted to do something fun with my new colleagues during the weekend. Something out of the office to get to know the guys better. I couldn't have asked for a better captain to take us out. Chris was hilarious, great to talk with and an excellent guide for some of the rookie anglers I brought. We only had time for the 2 hour trip, but given the chance, I would happily come back and do a 4 hour or longer trip with him again. I would 100% recommend this charter service to anyone looking to have some fun out on the water in Florida.

    6-hour Tarpon Trip

Экскурсия на 6 часов – Тарпон (День) • 2 взрослых

My son and I had a blast on our first Tarpon trip with Captain Chris. He gave us a run down on how to use the gear and what to expect. Captain Chris was easy going and fun to chat with. The commands he called out were easy to follow to get the line to the appropriate depths. We had some bites , hooked a few , and landed a Tarpon! Would definitely recommend and book again.

    Achieved a long awaited goal

Экскурсия на 6 часов – Тарпон (День) • 2 взрослых

Fishing live bait in deep water is not favored way of fishing but I had caught only juvenile tarpon on a fly rod and this was probably my only to land a large one. Captain Taylor worked very hard and longer than he was contracted for to finally get my first big one. He estimated it at 140 pounds. Going with him again tomorrow.

Captain Taylor was really great. We have fished plenty of different locations and conditions so knew what to expect. Captain went above expectations and became part of the group during the trip. It was a fun trip with great conversations and banter while catching good fish!

Holiday Fishing at its Best

нояб. 26, 2022 • Раскин
The bite has been decent on recent trips producing a variety of different fish species. Spotted Seatrout in particular have been yielding large catches for the table and guests enjoying the holidays with family. With the weather being relatively mild and water temperatures in the 70’s it is not a bad time to book your next trip on the water.

Springtime Redfish

мар. 9, 2019 • Тампа
Its almost mid-March and the fishing's going to get even better the closer we get to April. March is known for its change in weather, and Redfish. Their are many estuaries to choose from in Tampa Bay that are holding good numbers of Redfish willing to eat anything in front of them. St. Petersburg is one of the many hot spot areas for catching big Redfish. The Redfish being caught are averaging anywhere from 25 - 30 inches, and many fish 30 - 38 inches are being brought to the boat. With the month of March having an epic start, I estimate the Redfish bite to carry itself well into April. Target areas for catching these fish are mangrove lines, and grass flats adjacent to any good span of mangroves or light structure. Preferably fishing the mangrove lines during higher tides, and grass flats on lower tides. Finding moving water is key to locating fish. Still water will hold fish however I find that many fish looking to eat are in areas of moving tides. When it comes to fishing for Redfish especially you must remain stealth in your approach and pay close attention to the activity presented to you on the waters surface. I make it a good habit of noting any disturbance on top of the water. I wear a pair of polarized sunglasses to reduce the glare on the water and spot fish. Wearing polarized sunglasses can also help locate pot holes that may hold fish as well as "Swash channels" small lines made into the bottom from current flow. Fish often use these swash channels as a pathway to venture on the length of a shallow flat. Choice baits for Redfish this month are Scaled Sardines and palm sized Pinfish. I present these baits free-lined with a 2/0-3/0 hook on 25-30 lb fluorocarbon leader. When determining where to soak your baits anchor your boat up in any of the areas mentioned before depending on tide and where the most water is moving and be patient, you may have to wait for the bite to start picking up. However when it does the wait is well worth the effort. Written by Capt. Christopher M Taylor

Monster Snook

апр. 23, 2017 • Тампа
Springtime through mid-summer is one time of the year many anglers look forward to for catching large amounts of Snook. Tampa Bay in particular has a world class fishery and produces great numbers of fish year after year. Tampa Bays network of rivers, mangrove estuaries, bayous, passes, and beaches make up this "Snook Wonderland". The Snook spawn historically starts before or after the full moon in May and lasts throughout the summer months. With the Snook spawn starting in May many fish start preparing in April chewing on anything in site. It is not surprising for my guests to catch 100 Snook during a trip in the month of June. This is when I've found the Snook bite at its peak fishing inside Tampa Bay. However these fish are within the common length range of 24-32 inches. The bigger fish 32-40 inches and up are most commonly found in the passes along the Gulf beaches from the Anclote River down south to Bunces Pass during earlier months. When fishing the passes one of my favorite baits to use is a palm sized Grunt. I get the biggest split-shot you can find and place it a foot away from the hook in its mouth and nose. The Intercoastal waterways and bridges connecting the beaches to the mainland are also good places to find big female Snook.

Snook And Redfish On The Move!

апр. 9, 2017 • Тампа
The Snook fishing is on the rise, and so is the bite. Recent trips have been successful in catching tons of these linsiders. When it comes to thrilling jumps and hard runs Snook is hard to beat! Redfish have been holding strong on the shorelines of Tampabay as well. Their are experiences few and far between catching a big bull Redfish on light tackle. This never seems to get old. Especially for many of my recent guests. The moderate water temperatures have alot to do with the consistent fish bite and should follow through the next few months.

Tampa Bays Red Water

мар. 21, 2017 • Тампа
Spring is here and the Redfish have made their presence known. Schools in the hundreds have been sited all over the Tampa Bay. Our last trip we caught several Redfish within the slot (keeping size), and many over slot fish. On average, the fish caught ranged between 27-35 inches and made for long drag pulling fights anywhere from 10-20 minutes long in duration. Now is definitely the time to try and hook up with one of these bronze bruisers!

Counting Sheep

янв. 15, 2017 • Тампа
With the end of January in sight, and the weather being mildly cooler many anglers are looking to wet their lines as the new year starts to race by. Sheepshead are making their way into Tampa Bay in great force. They are well known for their dominant presence during the winter months, and historically peak in numbers mid February. They can be found at any of the bridges, docks, seawalls, and jetties. I always head to my favorite Mangrove Snapper spots. Its not that the Mangrove Snapper aren't their, its that they cannot compete with the Sheepshead when it comes to snatching baits. Great baits to use are live shrimp, and Fiddler crabs. These baits should be presented on a size 1/0 hook free-lined, or with a split shot. Or your favorite 1/8-1/4 oz. Jig-head. Where theirs one their are a bunch. Keeping count is important when catching these guys because you can fill a cooler quick when the bites right.
