It's safe to say that Captain Frank Taylor Jr knows his way around Steinhatchee's waters – he's been fishing here 1999, and has plenty of experience under his belt! He decided to turn his personal passion for angling into a profession at the beginning of 2018, when he got his captain's license and started running charters. His reason for doing this is simple: he just loves sharing experiences and passing on his knowledge of these waters to anglers of all ages and skill levels. Full Day Fishing Trip • 3 взрослых • 1 ребёнокWe took our 11-year-old son out for a fishing trip to celebrate him moving up to middle school, and it was such a great experience. We didn’t catch many keepers, but we caught several fish throughout the trip and had plenty of action reeling them in. Captain Frank was fantastic! He was attentive the whole time, kept moving us to different spots he knew would be productive, and always made sure our lines were baited and ready to go. He was especially great with our son, which made the trip even more memorable for us. We all had a really fun time and would absolutely book with Captain Frank again!

Half Day Scalloping Trip (PM) • 5 взрослыхWe had a group of 5 for a 4 hour trip and it was absolutely wonderful! We caught our limit and capt Frank was very informative and super friendly. We had a blast and cant wait to come back!

Full Day Fishing Trip • 2 взрослыхWe had such a great time with Captain Frank in Steinhatchee! He kept us on fish all day and made the trip fun from start to finish. Super easygoing, knowledgeable, and clearly knows exactly where to go. The boat was clean and everything ran smoothly. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!

October, November, and early December are some of the best fishing times in Steinhatchee of the year ; the flats are full of redfish and trout. The cobia are migrating through, but they will soon be leaving in early November.

We are having an amazing season getting our limit on almost every trip . The season ends Labor Day so there’s only seven weeks left book your trip while you can. There are still plenty availability in August.

Springtime fishing in Steinhatchee

The trout bite in February was great and will only get better in the upcoming months! The big trout move in close to spawn and the redfish will be out on the flats. March, April and May are excellent months for planning your springtime fishing trip !
