If you're here to make the most of fishing in Fort Washington, look no further than NOVA River Cruises. With Captain Richard at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

These waters are known for Catfish, Crappie, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass, Walleye, Snakehead, Shad, Herring, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!" You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's bowfishing.

You'll be welcome aboard a 40' RF Green Chesapeake Deadrise Headboat with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Rods and reels are not supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
