Caught a lot of fish but didnโt keep many because we did t know how good Creville jack is. Also
We did have a large Mackeral on the line but lost it.

Be prepared for any weather. It poured and then was sunny and warm. The water can get rough, take motion sickness medication if you have any concern of sea sickness. It worked great for us.

Mahi season starts in July and Marlin season starts around September. We didnโt go out very far so didnโt catch anything too crazy but was still so fun. If itโs your first time and you wanna catch some crazy stuff- go deeper and during the fish season months you want to catch.

If your trip revolves around catching these, I'd reach out to Gabriel directly to see how things are going that particular year and have him help you plan your trip. For our family, we were just happy reeling in fish and Gabriel made sure we got to do plenty of that while also fishing for the big ones which are pretty hard to find in June.

This was a great introduction to Puerto Vallarta fishing. We were out the perfect amount of time and our boat was outfitted perfectly for our family. The Captain pulled out the awning and that was wonderful for relaxing out of the sun. We didn't catch many fish but the other boats the Captain checked in with that were fishing the bay were having a slow day as well. That's to be expected with fishing. Overall, a great day out in the bay!

Donโt be afraid to ask to fish for a certain type of fish if youโre after something specific. Our captain was super flexible and would put us wherever and whatever we wanted to do. We wanted to pull in some fish with a good fight but not keep them, so he found us crevalle jacks to hook into. We had our two kids with us that wanted to see a lot marine life, so he found us sea turtles and manta rays, and took us to the most beautiful spot to snorkel. Just an amazing day out on the water!
