You Can Now Change the Trip Package on Upcoming Bookings

You asked for it, we delivered! You can now change the selected trip package of a confirmed booking, without having to cancel and rebook. Along with this, you can also change the number of days, if you run multiday trips.

This means that you and your customer can make sure you’re on the exact same page when it comes to expectations for the trip. And all the booking and payment details will reflect the reality of your trip. 

So, what’s new?

While you’ve been able to amend the number of guests or departure time for a while, there were still some features missing when it came to changing bookings. Now, the Booking Change Request feature allows you to suggest different trip packages to suit your customers’ needs.

If you’ve spoken to your customer and realize that they’ve booked an inappropriate trip – bringing children on a 10 hour trip, maybe? Maybe an adult booked a trip tailored to kids but no children are coming? You can now suggest a more suitable option, and FishingBooker will handle the rest.

This also gives you the opportunity to upsell some of your trips. This will create the perfect experience for your customers, and could bring you even more money through FishingBooker.

How does it work?

Simply go to your Manage Bookings page, go to the booking you want to change, and click Change Booking. If you’ve used the Booking Change Request feature before, you’ll now notice that there’s an option to change the selected trip package, along with the number of guests and trip date. Select the package you want and send the change request.

Customers will have 48 hours to respond to the change request, and the payment will be handled automatically. Then, you’ll be all set to go fishing! 

If the customer doesn’t accept the change request, the original booking will remain valid. But don’t worry, there’s no limit to the number of times you can send a change request to the customer.

Is there anything else to know?

Any change in bookings made with Online Payments or FishingBooker credits will need to be manually approved by our team, so you may experience slight delays in payment and confirmation, if that’s the case.

Other than that, all you need to do is download the latest version of the FishingBooker for Captains app, and you’re good to go! You can now change pretty much anything concerning your booking on FishingBooker, without having to cancel and rebook, or even reach out to our team.
