Do you run trips that are priced per person? Ever had a customer want to add or remove some people from the trip? Now there’s no headaches involved! Simply change the booking through FishingBooker and the price change will be handled automatically.

What’s new?
Now, whenever you or your customer submits a Booking Change Request that results in a price change, the booking will be updated and the payment handled accordingly. As soon as the other party accepts, that is.
That means that if there’s a drop in price, your customer will be refunded the difference in the deposit. If there’s an increase, they’ll be able to make the additional payment right away. There’s no more waiting for the trip to be canceled and rebooked, as the trip will remain active in your and your customer’s dashboard.
If you need to change any details of the trip – no matter how small – we recommend using the Booking Change Request feature, as you, your customer, and FishingBooker will be up-to-date with everything that’s going on.
Is there anything else I should know?
This feature only applies to a change in a booking where the price is determined by the number of guests. If a customer wants to change the booking for a different, more expensive trip, for example, they’ll still need to cancel the trip and book again. But that will all change soon!
Any change in bookings made with Online Payments or FishingBooker credits will also need to be manually approved by our team, so you may experience slight delays if that’s the case.
What’s next?
This feature is available on desktop and the FishingBooker for Captains app, but make sure to get the latest version of the app for the best experience. The next time you need to change a booking that incurs a change in price, you’ll have a smooth and simple process before heading out to fish. Just click “Change Booking” on the reservation confirmation page and change the number of guests. The system will do the rest!
Soon, it will be possible to also change packages and make other amendments that result in a price difference without having to cancel. Keep an eye out for further developments in future newsletters and notifications!
