Captain Damon Holds a USCG 100 ton Masters License for both Inland(Chesapeake Bay) and Coastal (Ocean up to 200 miles offshore), A Maryland Unlimited Tidal Fishing License, A Maryland Outfitters License, and a NOAA Highly Migratory Species Charter Boat Permit.

The Crack of Dawn is a Custom 50' Ronnie Carman Chesapeake Bay Deadrise. She, like all Chesapeake Bay Deadrises, was purposely built for fishing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Being 50' long and 16' wide she guarantees a safe and stable platform for your day of enjoyment on the water.
Large Cabin with seating, 2 A/Cs, and Heat. The Crack of Dawn carries a USCG Certificate of Inspection for 42 Passengers in the Chesapeake Bay, 28 Passengers up to 20 miles out into the Ocean, and 17 Passengers up to 100 miles out into the Ocean
All of our Charters are private... so just your group is on the boat with crew
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome!
Your captain will provide all required rods & reels, tackle, and bait!
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so an 18-20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We booked a Father’s Day fishing trip with Capt. Damon and First Mate Dan, and it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we stepped aboard, we could tell the boat was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning was a huge bonus and made the trip even more enjoyable. The fishing was great, and we caught a good amount of fish throughout the trip. What really made the experience stand out was First Mate Dan. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and an excellent instructor. Whether you are an experienced angler or new to fishing, Dan takes the time to teach, assist, and ensure everyone has a great experience. His work ethic was outstanding—he was constantly helping, preparing gear, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Capt. Damon and Dan make a fantastic team and clearly care about providing a top-notch charter experience. We had an amazing Father’s Day trip on the water and created memories that will last a lifetime. We would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun and successful fishing trip!
Captain D and his crew were awesome. The captain kept us on top of fish and his crewmate. Danny kept our reels loaded and in the water. We caught a ton of fish. I highly recommend this charter. We are planning on booking with him again in the future, have a wonderful season everyone.

best trip with my sons and grandkids! we caught 42 spanish mackerils and 3 blues, the captain was great and the first mate was awesome too. suc a memorable trip! I would book with them again!
We caught both bluefish and bottomfish. the capitain and mate were attentive to the grandchildren and worked hard to mai ize the experience. I highly recommend this charter. .
