Apocalypse Guide Service is here to show you the stunning waters of Winchester Bay. With Captain Thomas at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Black Rockfish, Rockfish, Halibut, Albacore Tuna, Crab, Lingcod, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year.
Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to keep 'em happy!
Your boat for the day is a 23' Hewescraft Sportfishing boat with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. (Please ask before bringing any of your own fishing supplies).
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or your local sporting goods store. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.

We made our way onto the ocean caught lots of yellowtail rockfish and kept myself on a rod while he helped my 9yr old son out fish me. He also treated us like long time friends the entire day with plenty of laughs and stories. We got the best experience, we caught fish and crab and limited on both. While I say that we all know the varibles had to be perfect to make all that align to have an amazing trip like we did. 11/10 recommend for the experience let alone the perfect catching day.

All the fish were filet at the dock and we left with several bafs full. We had an awesome fish fry and crab boil for dinner. Thanks again, apocalypse.

12 Timers Tur – Helleflynder Fiskeri den June 22, 2024Tom was a great guide. From giving us a rundown and answering questions before departing to cleaning and fileting our fish when we got back to the docks. Everybody caught fish. A few hit limits. Tom had our trip planned out so well that the first lines in the water pulled up fish. I was nervous about going out on the ocean but after seeing Tom navigate us out of the bar I had complete faith in him. We spotted a sunfish basking in the rays and Tom was able to get us close enough for pictures. Bait was plentiful. Knowledge was apparent as he was able to answer any questions that our group had. 10/10 would recommend and my whole group is already talking about booking with Apocalypse again.

12 Timers Tur – Helleflynder Fiskeri den June 22, 2024Went fishing with Apocalypse Guide Service and caught my first halibut!! The first one was 23 inches and the second one was 48 inches long!! We also caught 4 Ling Cod, 1 huge Canary rock fish, and other rock fish. If you haven't been halibut or bottom fishing then you absolutely need to give them a call and get a trip scheduled. It's always a great time and they will get you on the fish. I got a full boat (6 guests total) and the 6 of us split the cost evenly. It's more then worth it and I will be booking another trip! I suggest you book a trip, you will not regret it.

She and I had the very best time with Mark and crew at Apocalypse Charters . They were gentlemen and would say that it was very well put together to get on the bite. There were many other boats that were not celebrating like our group, we had landed the biggest Coho of the boats season :) Thanks Apocalypse Charters, we hope to see you again someday soon!!

Had a great fishing trip! The captain and deckhand were excellent—knowledgeable, helpful, and informative throughout the entire trip. We had some really good conversations, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Great people, a great atmosphere, and an all-around enjoyable day on the water. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality fishing trip! We caught 3 different types of fish and got to bring home some crabs too.

This was a great, overall experience. Captain was awesome! Helped us with everything. We limited out on fish quickly. The captain decided to show us around since we had extra time. Seals, whales, picked up a crab pot, and cooked us some crab before we hit the road. I highly recommend this booking. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience!

Siden da har jeg brugt hvert eneste år på at lære og forbedre mig – studere flodsystemer, forstå fiskenes adfærd, mestre teknikker og opbygge den erfaring, der kræves for at blive den bedste guide og kaptajn, jeg kan være. Jeg tror på, at det at guide ikke kun handler om at sætte folk på fisk – det handler om at skabe uforglemmelige oplevelser, dele viden og forbinde andre med den samme kærlighed til naturen, der har præget mit liv. Før jeg guidede på fuld tid, tjente jeg stolt i United States Marine Corps fra 2007 til 2013. Min militære karriere fik en uventet afslutning, da jeg blev medicinsk udskrevet efter en kræftdiagnose. Det kapitel af mit liv var både udfordrende og forvandlende. Det gav mig en dybere forståelse for modstandskraft, formål og vigtigheden af at gøre det, man elsker.
