Fishing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From early childhood, I was drawn to the water, learning the rhythms of the river and the habits of the fish that call it home. But it wasn't until high school that I truly found my calling—Steelhead fishing. Something about the challenge, the chase, and the connection to wild places sparked a passion in me that never let go. From that point on, I knew I wanted to become a fishing guide. I've spent every year since then dedicated to learning and improving—studying river systems, understanding fish behavior, mastering techniques, and building the experience needed to become the best guide and captain I can be. I believe that guiding isn't just about putting people on fish—it's about creating unforgettable experiences, sharing knowledge, and connecting others to the same love of the outdoors that's defined my life. Before guiding full-time, I proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 2007 until 2013. My military career came to an unexpected end after I was medically discharged following a cancer diagnosis. That chapter of my life was both challenging and transformative. It gave me a deeper appreciation for resilience, purpose, and the importance of doing what you love. Fishing has always been more than just a hobby—it's been a way of healing, a source of strength, and a lifelong pursuit. What a day on the water!

Captain Thomas made this trip memorable, from the crabbing to the fishing and crossing the bar like the true captain he is. We made our way onto the ocean caught lots of yellowtail rockfish and kept myself on a rod while he helped my 9yr old son out fish me. He also treated us like long time friends the entire day with plenty of laughs and stories. We got the best experience, we caught fish and crab and limited on both. While I say that we all know the varibles had to be perfect to make all that align to have an amazing trip like we did. 11/10 recommend for the experience let alone the perfect catching day.

Great Fishing Trip

Had a great fishing trip! The captain and deckhand were excellent—knowledgeable, helpful, and informative throughout the entire trip. We had some really good conversations, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Great people, a great atmosphere, and an all-around enjoyable day on the water. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality fishing trip! We caught 3 different types of fish and got to bring home some crabs too.

Everything Was Perfect!

This was a great, overall experience. Captain was awesome! Helped us with everything. We limited out on fish quickly. The captain decided to show us around since we had extra time. Seals, whales, picked up a crab pot, and cooked us some crab before we hit the road. I highly recommend this booking. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience!

We caught our limit of rockfish within 2 hours. Captain Tom and Captain Josh were both super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All the fish were filet at the dock and we left with several bafs full. We had an awesome fish fry and crab boil for dinner. Thanks again, apocalypse.

A spectacular day on the river. The best money spent on vacation. The captain was right on time and the crew was great. Everything was perfectly cleaned and made a dinner better than could be expected. Thank You Captain Thomas.
