    A Great Experience

This was a great experience for the family. Tim was great with our kids, teaching them what to do as they went. We had a blast catching and releasing sharks. Enough keepers (first catch was a Spanish mackerel) for dinner tonight, which was the goal. Lillie was great addition, she will make sure you don't miss anything of interest. We spotted dolphins, a sea turtle, and manta ray while out.

Max is an excellent captain. He worked extremely hard to get us on fish and is very knowledgeable. His boat was clean and well kept along with all of the rods and equipment. If you're looking for a great captain, we highly recommend him!

Bluefish, also called Tailor, are fast, hard-hitting game fish that love to chase bait near the surface. They attack in packs, strike without warning, and fight all the way to the boat. Anglers target them for explosive topwater hits, strong runs, and steady action for all skill levels.

You can catch Bluefish by spinning, trolling, fly fishing, and surf casting. Metal spoons, jigs, and topwater poppers work well when fish are blitzing bait. Plugs and soft plastics shine along rips and current lines. Fresh cut bait or whole bait fish also produce. Use a short wire leader to prevent bite-offs from their sharp teeth.

Expect fast-paced fishing around beaches, jetties, inlets, and nearshore structure. Schools move quickly, so be ready to cast as soon as you see bait flipping or birds diving. This is a great choice for first-time anglers, families, and anyone who loves visual strikes. Captains usually provide tackle, but bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and non-slip shoes. Handle fish with pliers and keep fingers clear of the mouth. If you plan to eat your catch, chill fillets quickly and enjoy them fresh.

Before your trip, check local rules for fishing licenses, permits, seasons, and harvest limits. Regulations can change, and areas may have special gear rules or closed zones. When in doubt, ask your captain and follow current local guidance.
