    (5hr Trip-striped Bass (PM))

    Fun and great with kids!

The captain had a positive attitude and kept the trip exciting for the four kids. He taught them so much about the different types of fish and the kids absorbed the information and kept talking about it the next day. Overall a great experience and something the kids will remember for a long time mainly because the captain kept it fun and entertaining. Thank you captain Derek!

    (Half Day Trip)

    A Fantastic Trip with A Great Captain/Coach

Captain Toni is not just a captain, but a local fishing coach and tournament champion! My son and I had a great half-day morning trip and caught over 20 fish and over 5 different local species. I would highly recommend Captain Toni as he’s very knowledgeable, patient and is truly focused on giving his customers a 5-star experience! If we’re back in Split again, we’re definitely going on a longer deep sea trip with him!

Atlantic Mackerel fishing is fast, fun, and great for all skill levels. These sleek, schooling fish hit hard and fight above their weight. Anglers target them for steady action, tasty fillets, and a chance to fill the cooler when the bite is on.

You can catch Atlantic Mackerel while inshore fishing and near the coast, as well as just offshore. Jigging is the go-to method with small metal jigs or diamond jigs. Many crews use a sabiki rig, a simple multi‑hook bait rig, to work the mid‑water column. Trolling small spoons also produces quick strikes. Spinning and fly fishing can be effective when fish feed near the surface.

Expect quick bursts of action when the school moves under the boat. Doubles and even multiples happen on multi‑hook rigs. This is a great trip for families, first‑timers, and anyone who enjoys light‑tackle sportfishing. Bring sun protection, a hat, and non‑slip shoes. Pack a cooler with ice if you plan to keep fish, and listen to your captain’s instructions for safe handling and clean fillets.

Before you go, check local rules for Atlantic Mackerel. Licensing, permits, seasons, and harvest limits can change by region and time of year. Your captain can explain what applies on the day of your trip, but you are responsible for meeting current regulations.
