    Great trip!

Capt. Daniel was awesome. He bounced around all day to make sure we had a bite. there was never a dull moment all day. it was tough to get through the short fish but he made sure to get us home with an abundance of fish. We really appreciated the fact that he allowed us to fish and not just reel in the fish. 5 stars all day. great guy! We have two young children, Capt. Daniel was awesome with them.

    Great experiences!!

We're total newbies, but João and Tomás are super nice—they taught us a lot and helped us out. The service and food are top-notch. We caught more fish than we could possibly eat. I highly recommend it.

Cero Mackerel fishing is fast, visual, and action-packed. This sleek Mackerel is prized for blistering runs, sharp reflexes, and excellent table fare. Anglers target it for quick bites, exciting strikes near the surface, and steady action that keeps everyone engaged.

You can catch Cero Mackerel by trolling fast with small lures or natural baits. Casting silver spoons, jigs, and small plugs also works well around reefs, wrecks, and current edges. Live bait is deadly when drifted or slow-trolled. Use a short wire leader or heavy fluorocarbon to handle their sharp teeth.

Expect clear-water strikes, sudden speed, and hard pulls. This is great for first-time anglers who want quick success, and fun for experts who enjoy light tackle. Trips often focus on inshore and nearshore structure in calm to moderate seas. Bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, snacks, and a camera. Most captains provide tackle, bait, and basic instruction, so you can focus on the fight.

Before you go, check local rules for licenses or permits, as well as season, size, and harvest limits. Regulations change by area, so review them close to your trip date. When in doubt, ask your captain about current rules and best catch-and-release practices.
