Sportfishing Vencedora is a family business, with Captain Nino Rochin at the helm. He's been on the water for as long as he can remember and has over 40 years of angling experience under his belt. Fishing is his calling, and he spent a good part of his life working in the commercial fishing industry. Today, Capt. Nino runs fun, family-friendly charters, and does all in his power to show his customers a good fishing time!

    Amazing day Fishing!

    We had amazing time fishing with Vencedora Sportfishing. We started off picking up some live bait then started fishing soon thereafter. The whale watching was amazing early in the morning this time of year as well. We started off hooking up with some Dorado on the troll then started live bait fishing. We caught some bonito and then hooked up with a big yellowfin tuna and some large Dorado. The captain and crew were great and as we were about to head in we saw a Marlin. We used one of the small bonito as bait and hooked up with the Marlin that put up a fun fight. Couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. They even connected me with a fish processor who vacuum sealed and froze the fish for us so we could bring some tuna and Dorado home. Great trip!

    The best Captain in San Jose

    Cpt. Pollo was fantastic, he worked incredibly hard to get us on fish and keep us on fish almost all day. we caught a massive Wahoo that was a beast to fight, a nice red snapper, two tuna, and two triggerfish. It was great to catch a variety of fish through the different methods he put in place. We were thrilled with the experience, we went fishing in CSL a few years ago and this trip blew it out of the water. True effort was put into the trip and to make it worthwhile for us, a real fisherman’s fisherman. Book it, you wont be sorry.

    A good day fishing

    We started the day walking up to the boat where the captain and first mate speak very very little english. You have to pay $30 to another boat for the bait when out on the water. I bought our fishing licenses online while driving out of the marina, he said we could buy one at the marina but noone brought us to get one when i told him we still needed it. We started the day catching Sierra, Rooster fish and Jack crevalleI on live bait. Nino asked us if we wanted to go fish for dorado. We decided we had enough and wanted to try something else. We were able to catch 2 dorado with one being pretty nice. At about 11:30 he asked if we still wanted to keep fishing or go back. We decided we were fine going in early. I gave them a 4 star rating because we were on fish most of the entire morning. It would of been a 1 star if we didnt catch fish and couldn’t communicate. Brush up on your spanish before your next fishing trip.

    Great time in cabo

    Captian was on time. there was good parking at the marina and could buy your license right there. We hit the water at sunrize and were onto mahi mahi right away once finding the birds we fished live bait for tuna and got a few beauties. very experienced captain and deckhand. my wife and i only speak english and even with the language barrierit was a great comfortable trip.

    Captain is very knowledgable, old school , very windy conditions, really small live bait ,, still productive, definitely would go again next vacation!! My wife and I had a great time , Gracias Nino

It was a cold day but without wind and a good day was spent fishing, capturing and releasing 6 roosters. Live bait was used and the fishing was not really far what made a great day.

My baseball teammate from mexico got me connected with the Captain Nino Rochin and his boat Vencedora ll to do a fishing trip. I would highly recommend them if you are trying to get a great price and catch fish. We wanted Marlin and he got us Marlin . Great captain and great person. Me and my brother had a great day on the ocean with Nino. Thank you Nick & Jake

Karen and Tim have spent years fishing in the Vencedora II and they have always had good luck in fishing, they enjoy every moment and always with great joy. They caught 3 amberjack 1 yellowfin and 3 Mahi Mahi. The weather was perfect.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary fishing with Captain Nino on Nov. 11 and 14. The first day was raining and colder than we expected but we still had a great time. Darby caught a sailfish and a dorado and we had several wahoo strikes but didn’t get any of them into the boat. The next trip was a beautiful day. We caught three nice dorados and had a marlin strike while we were working one of the dorados. Big surprise but unfortunately no one was minding the line and the marlin broke off. After that we moved closer to shore and caught a couple of rooster fish. Those were the first ones for us. All in all two successful trips. We would definitely book with Captain Nino the next time we’re in Cabo. Geoffrey and Darby Coe Atlanta, GA

Fishing with Nino, August 15th

On August 15TH we went out fishing with Chad & Lucas (7years old) from the new Marina Puerto Los Cabos in La Playa Town, San Jose Del Cabo. at 6:30 am we went out with nice weather, got a bait, sardine & live bait, some squid too. We went very close and ready for rooster, the best time its early and then look for another kind of fish. catch and release for some rooster and of course the photo very important. Dorados with live bait. Tunas with squid and live bait. It was a great time. weather perfect, no windy, sunny day.
