Striped Bass Schools on Lake Murray

Lake Murray water temps are in the upper 70’s and the fall fishing pattern is heating up. Schools of striped bass are found congregating along the old river channel and drawn in to Blueback Herring down rod presentations with thumpers, and chum. Morning and evenings are producing large schools of topwater activity over open water and along the channel edges. Many of the schooling fish are in the 15-19” range and fight hard, although too short to be kept during this 21” minimum season. Find the bait and find the fish! Lets get you on the water!
