Insane Halibut Action! We had a crazy halibut bite on an afternoon this week! After landing our first Halibut still in the net our second rod got hammered and was peeling line. Guests were able to get the second fish to the boat both a perfect 107cm and 104cm. Just as we were getting ready to head back and pull our anchor...a MEGA fish hammered our whole yellow tail and burned under the boat tangling around our chum back and breaking another line clean off. This fish got us into our backing before coming back to the boat for a leader release. The Halibut was close to 100lbs...a serious unit. Guests enjoyed an incredible sunset on the run back. HOG-tober at its finest!

COHO RODEO!!!! The bite was on fire this morning!! Captain Cam got our guests on the fish right away with some stompers in the mix and a mystery bite peeling line off the clip. Fish ranging from 8-15lbs with multiple double header action, in perfect conditions. Our perfect Sooke fall fishing weather...warm, sunny, wind light is forecasted to stick around rest of October and so will the coho rodeo...letsgo!
