Fishing with John

The equipment and boat were poorly equipped. We lost a nice fish due to the poor line management. There was no lunch. I have yet to receive a copy of my transaction from Captain John. I was under the impression that our day was to be with Captain John. We were paired with Captain Dave who had only been in Cartagena for 2 months was unfamiliar with the area we were to fish. The first mate was “experienced”according to Captain John. He did not speak English he was not friendly and was upset with the Captain and his ability to direct the boat in a productive manner. We seemed to go in circles.

    Well organized fishing charter.

    We had an absolutely outstanding full-day fishing trip with this boat. From the moment we left the dock, the captain made our entire family feel safe, comfortable, and excited for the day ahead — especially our kids. We spent the day exploring beautiful islands, fishing in different spots, and learning about the area. The captain’s knowledge of the waters was incredible — he always knew exactly where to go, and it showed. Before we knew it, we had a cooler full of fish, which made the experience even more exciting for the kids. What really made this trip special was how patient and friendly the captain was. He took time to help the children with their rods, explain what was happening, and celebrate every catch. It wasn’t just a fishing trip — it was a real family adventure. This was hands-down one of the best experiences of our vacation in Cartagena. We left with amazing memories, great photos, and more fish than we could believe. We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fun, safe, and successful fishing trip for the whole family

    Skipper got us to the fish pretty fast and we all caught at least one fish; assortment of yellow and blue tuna, mackerel and bonito!
