Marty was an excellent host for a great day on the lake. Downrigging and jigging for variety. He knew all the spots and led me to plenty of action. 5 lovely fish for the freezer (and several returned) conpleted a fantastic outing.
We got 6 but one escaped, two were too skinny so we kept 3 for our dinner :) Captain Marty is super nice and very patient, different experience from sea water fishing, just chill on the beautiful lake!
Wir als Familie 2 Erwachsene & 2 Kinder hatten einen fantastischen Ausflug! Marty Staines war sehr angenehm und ruhig und liess auch die Kinder „Arbeiten“. 3h waren für uns Anfänger perfekt und wir konnten viele Forellen fangen und auch mitnehmen. Wwürden den Ausflug sofort wieder buchen. Vielen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis!
Marty is just the nicest skipper you could ever meet. In spite of the really windy conditions with whitecaps and significant swells,he found some more sheltered spots and I took home some very nice trout. On Marty’s advice, I bought some lemon pepper and Alfoil. My wife and I are sitting recovering after a wonderful trout dinner,washed down with an excellent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc ( our motel has a barbecue).What a day ! if you visit Taupo, this the trip for you.
We had an amazing morning with Marty, he really knows his stuff, would highly recommend him to anyone. 10 minutes into the trip hubby caught his first and they didn't stop, caught 15, had to throw 3 back but ended up with 12. Hubby was in his element and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Thanks Marty.
my son is very happy he catch 2 big fish, Captain Marty is very nice to teaching my son fishing and help us everything, today wind is strong but Captain has good experience so he know how to find fish, good good good
