The weather cut the trip a bit but it was a quality experience and fun was had by all! The captain and mate made it a special trip. Next time the grandson comes in for a visit, we'll be getting another charter. We had ages from 19 to 70, everyone had fun.
We had a productive and enjoyable day on the water with Capitan Andrew and his deck hand. They brought us to the fish and explained to us the techniques they were using to help us catch fish. Additionally, both were very knowledgeable, personable and fun to be around. I’ve chartered several fishing boats from Hawaii to Key West and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. I highly recommended Captian Pete’s and will seek them out for our next excursion in Chincoteague!
we have been coming to Chincoteague for 7 years, and we have had the pleasure of booking with Captain Pete's Fishtales 5 of those years. They are always outstanding to do business with. we have booked Ll of the adventures, and have enjoyed all of them, whether we caughtfish or not. The crew alays make the trip. We have ha Captain Andrew and Captain Jed several times now, and it is always an awes experience. Today we did a 4 hour shark adventure with Captain Jed. Although we did not catch any sharks, it was exciting when the lines got a hit and dragged. All members of our party caught 4 or more fish, which definitely made the experience so much more fun. At the end of the day, we all walked away with a smile on our face.
We had a great time shark fishing. We went on a 4-hour outing with Jeb (the captain) 8am-12pm. We caught Kingfish, Spot, Trout, and Croaker. Actually, we had such a good time with Jeb. we asked if we could take the next spot from 1pm-5pm. On this trip, we caught more of the same. The weather went a little sideways for a moment but ended up clearing out fast. We would absolutely recommend Captain Petes Fish Tales to anyone who loves fishing and enjoys great conversation with a very knowledgeable and friendly captain (Jeb).
This was a great trip for myself and two kids! We did some fishing, crabbing, clamming, sightseeing, and got mussels. Saw pods of dolphins right up next to the boat for some great pictures! He took us to the lighthouse, the old airstrip, and explained different parts of the area we had never heard nor seen before. John was a great captain and guide! Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone that doesn’t want to sit waiting for fish or to try something new! 10 out of 10!
My Marine Corps friends and I took this fishing trip back in 2019 and had a blast. This time in 2026 the kids were older and we took them with us and had even more fun! We went caught some crabs, then went fishing for flounder, then did some clam digging and picked up some muscles. We caught some skates and caught some flounder that was big enough to keep. We look forward to doing this trip again next time we come down. Highly recommend it!
