My Wife and I had the BEST experience with Captain Andrew Bergeson and his Deckhand Ryan. We had been trying to find a guided salmon trip to take while we were visiting Astoria Oregon, and had tried other guides.For the days we could go, they were booked. One of those guides suggested we call Andrew. It turned out to be the best case scenario for us! My wife and I were the only anglers on the boat. This provided us with a unique one-on-one experience. We couldn't ask for anything better than this. Andrew and Ryan were top notch professionals! We caught our limit of fish in 3 hours. Meanwhile, the boats with six anglers spent many more hours out there trying to catch their limits of fish. This means if you are limited out, you are waiting for the other fishermen to catch. This may not be a bad thing, but it makes for a long day. We had a tremendous time with Youngs Bay outfitters and can't wait to do it again next year ! We highly recommend them.. call them first!
10/10 experience with Captain Andrew. A local, born and raised fisherman and it shows in his ability to always be on the fish and in the bite when others aren’t. Super laid back with a good sense of humor. His full time job on the tug boats definitely shows in his ability to safely and efficiently run a boat in a packed setting. Will 100% be rebooking with Young’s Bay Outfitters
