We caught so many fish from trolling for Spanish mackerel to anchoring next to reefs and pulling in lane snapper, grouper, yellow fin snapper and porgy for hours. Captain Grayson was amazing bringing us strait to the fish and educating us about the sea and tides. Best trip ever!!
Very knowledgeable and helpful with the kids. Put in locations where the fish were. We did inshore fishing in the Mangroves for Tarpon, snook, and Jacks. Easy fishing for the kids and kept em busy casting. On any given cast you could catch a big Tarpon, snook, or Jack. We all caught some fish, and my son hit a 30# JC on a topwater spook. Got a solid 20 min fight out of it and I'm not sure who was more excited my son or Greyson!! Greyson, is a great guy as well Thank you Greyson
My wife and I booked this trip on a whim while we were in town on vacation. Although we have done quite a lot of lake fishing we would describe ourselves as amateur anglers, and Captain Grayson made it incredibly easy for us. He supplied all gear, all we had to do is show up on time. It was windy and warm the morning we went out so we opted for the lagoon during our half-day trip, that way we weren't battling the waves. Grayson new exactly where we would catch, and recommended we target snook next to the mangroves on this particular day, as they are a very delicious fish. It wasn't long until we hooked into multiple snooks and jacks and had them in the cooler. We continued to troll and all of a sudden BAM a huge hit on my wife's line and a sizable fish started taking out line. Grayson figured it was a sizable snook, that is until the fish jumped and he saw it was a huge barracuda! We were not fishing with steel leads as we weren't going for cuda, however Grayson had us quickly change retrieval tactics and coaxed the fish in. Within 5 minutes the 20 pound fish was at the bottom of our boat! The catch of a lifetime for my wife and I and a totally unexpected thrill. We ended midday and Grayson got everything fileted up and in baggies for us. The rest of our group was treated to fresh barracuda for the rest of our trip! He even gave some recommendations on how to prepare it, Belizean-style! Our catch was somewhat abnormal, however Captain Grayson knows where and how to catch anything you're looking for. Grayson gave us and our teenage kids a great morning of fishing in waters he knows, loves and understands so well. His enthusiasm for the sport was so infectious and we caught some beautifuk snapper and a sizeable Jack. Barracuda next time! highly recommend Grayson.
Grayson was awesome! His enthusiasm was great. He was more excited about us catching then we were.. haha not really, we were excited to catch some big barracuda and makeral’s! Thanks for a great trip we will be back again and get up earlier for the fly fishing. Remeber to bring that small cooler again so the tails can hang out of the end of it! Thanks again!
