We had a great time. Caught a ton of trout and then Captain Alan took us to an area past some shallow areas to pools containing snook. To get there he had to push the boat over a very shallow area but he was determined to get us there. Caught a few including one about 28”. Highly recommend this boat and Captain!
Captain Alan knows the area well. We had a mixed group of various experience levels and ages and all had a good time and caught fish. He was even able to arrange pick up on North Captiva. He tailors the experience to your wants and knows how to put you on fish even when the bite is slow. We all managed to catch nice keeper trout and several snook despite windy conditions and a slow bite. Highly recommend Captain Alan Spangler if you are fishing around Sanibel/ North Captiva
Captain Alan had us on the fish quick and did a great job helping out a family of novice fishermen (and girls). He was extremely laid back and made sure we had a good time. in B We caught a variety species and even had time to fish for some shark! On our way back to dock, Captain Alan was able to find us a group of dolphins that played in our wake. All around great day w a supurb captain.
We intended to fish inshore, but with Captain Alan's recommendation, we decided to go further out and take our chances. He was right! After two hours of catching enough mackerel for multiple meals for our group of 9, we moved further out and caught sharks for two hours - hammerhead, silkies, and black tips. We took six tourists ranging in age from 8 to 85 and everyone caught plenty of fish and had a fantastic trip. Our grill was overflowing with fresh, blackened fish that evening. Highly recommend Spangler Adventures!!
Alan was absolutely amazing taking us from spot to spot to giving us the greatest opportunity to catch fish and have a great time. Every time we stopped, he would literally run to get our poles in the water as quick as he could. He is incredibly professional, fun and knowledgeable, and anybody who does not book a tour with him is definitely making a big mistake. Thank you Allen my three sons and I had an incredible time.
Captain Alan was great, we caught so many sea trout at the first stop and 7 keepers immediately. It was a very memorable experience and awesome first time fishing in Florida. He did all the work and I would recommend this for anyone.
