¡Prepárate para rastrear y capturar grandes peces con Heavy Hitter Charters! Tu capitán para el día, Benny Hendrix, es nativo de Florida con décadas de experiencia pescando en las aguas locales de Fernandina Beach. Así que si buscas una aventura llena de acción con un guía conocedor que pueda llevarte donde están los peces, has llegado al lugar correcto.

Pescarás en un center console C-Hawk de 25'. Esta embarcación viene equipada con aparejos de pesca de primera línea, equipos electrónicos y de seguridad, y es perfecta para navegar por aguas poco profundas. Tiene capacidad para hasta 6 pasajeros
los invitados y niños de todas las edades son bienvenidos a bordo.

El Capitán Benny se especializa en pesca costera – buscando Corvina Roja, Corvina Negra, Trucha de Mar Moteada, Sargo y Tarpón. Explorarás las aguas interiores de Fernandina Beach, pescando en estructuras como espigones y muelles, así como en lechos de hierba y bancos de ostras. Otras especies objetivo incluyen Lenguado y varias especies de tiburón costero como el Tiburón Punta Negra y el Tiburón Martillo.

Si el clima lo permite, el Capitán Benny también lleva a sus clientes a aguas más profundas para buscar Pargo, Anjova, Pez Rey, y otras especies que habitan en aguas cercanas a la costa. Sin importar tu nivel de habilidad, el Capitán Benny trabajará duro para ubicarte en el lugar correcto en el momento adecuado y asegurarse de que estés pasándolo genial en el agua.

AMAZING Day!!!

My husband, son (visiting from out of town), and I had an amazing time with Captain Benny on our 4-hour fishing tour. I was blown away by how accurately he predicted the size and species of fish we had on our hooks based on how the lines were behaving. He was always spot on! Not only did we catch our lunch for the day, but Captain Benny recommended we take the fish to The Salty Pelican to prepare it for us. We did that just an hour after the charter, and it was delicious! We learned so much about the area and he kept us all laughing. He also took photos for us so we could remember this time together. Captain Benny was an incredible host, and we’ll definitely be booking with him again!

A chance to get to know the Amelia Island fishing ecosystem

Caught four species of fish from bonnethead to yellow mouth and learned about the local waters from Benny who has been there his whole life. A day on the water learning about the area from someone who knows all the local history and the marine ecosystem is a good day. Visited after some unusual weather and every fisherman we came up on said it was an unusual off day. But at the same time got to see the fort from the water, the sub base, back inlets, the river, the oyster beds and learned where red fish like to go and caught one of them. Launched from a cool part of the island and really felt like I saw something most people dont get to see

We had an amazing day on the water with Captain Benny! Our group of three—including our 13-year-old son—had an absolute blast. Captain Benny was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He not only helped us catch a ton of fish (some really big ones that gave us a great fight!) but also pointed out interesting local landmarks and shared cool facts about the area along the way.

We’ve done other charters before, but Captain Benny really stood out by going the extra mile. He took tons of great photos throughout the trip, so we could focus on fishing and having fun. Even better, we had all the pictures before we even got back to the dock!

He also put a special emphasis on our safety and comfort the entire time, which made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable.
The trip was fun, relaxed, and memorable from start to finish. Highly recommend booking with Captain Benny if you’re looking for a great inshore fishing adventure!  We will definitely be fishing with Captain Benny again when we have the chance to return to Amelia Island!

Absolutely Incredible Morning with Captain Benny!

We booked a 3-hour morning charter with Captain Benny of Heavy Hitters out of Amelia Island, and it was one of the best fishing trips we’ve ever had! From start to finish, it was action-packed, exciting, and downright fun.

Everyone in our group caught fish—lots of them! We reeled in bonnethead sharks, Atlantic sharpnose sharks, and even landed a massive 100-pound dusky shark that gave us a real battle. That alone made the trip unforgettable! On top of the shark action, we also caught plenty of whiting, sail catfish, yellowmouth trout, and more. There was never a dull moment—lines were tight almost the entire time!

Captain Benny was outstanding—knowledgeable, upbeat, and incredibly passionate about what he does. He knew exactly where to go, kept us safe, and made sure everyone had a great time, whether it was their first fishing trip or their fiftieth. You can tell he genuinely loves putting people on fish.

If you're anywhere near Amelia Island and looking for a fishing trip you’ll be talking about for years, Heavy Hitters with Captain Benny is the way to go. Can’t wait to come back and do it again!
