You cannot go wrong choosing Randy with Red Tag for your charter. He will do whatever is necessary to make sure you have a great trip.

Always a good time with Captain Randy. This was our second year going out with him and he always goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good time and catch fish. We will be booking a third year with him next year. He was very patient with my son and husband picking his brain on fishing tips etc and very courteous of mom here. I’d recommend him to any family kids or no kids and my kid is 27 but still loved sitting next to Captain Randy and talking to him.

Captain Randy was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and fun! One of the young boys on the trip got seasick, and Captain Randy took it upon himself to help out! He was more than accommodating, and, bonus, we enjoyed a trout and red fish dinner with our fresh catches! Thanks for the sweet memories!

We started a little slow and had to move a couple of times before I caught my first Red (ever) 25” a little later I caught a second about the same size. Also caught black drum. At the end of our trip Randy took us to another place where he said we might catch a really big red and that’s where my son Tom hooked and landed a 32” red (see attached video) Right after that I hooked something really big that immediately ripped off about 100’ of line the drag was screaming but couldn’t land the fish because the line got hung up on something below and broke off. Really exciting!!

I booked my trip for 2 a few weeks out for a fun birthday trip to port Aransas. Captain Randy was prompt, polite, and professional in getting us a welcome letter, answering any questions I had not only I regards to the trip but a few about taking the ferry and getting to the island. Captain Randy was waiting for us at fisherman’s wharf when we arrived, we where lucky enough to have his wife Amy helping as deck hand that day and I cannot tell you how much effort and energy was put into making our day special. We had a heat advisory in effect and Randy asked if I wanted to head out in the morning instead of the afternoon and we quickly took him up on that! We went to so many amazing fishing spots, my wife has a shrimp allergy and Randy took extreme care in regards to this. Bleaching her poles and entire boat prior to us heading out. We haven’t spent a ton of time in the gulf and we expressed our interest in the wild life and land around us. Randy took extra time to show us incredible spots, an amazing light house and sunken ships. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins and sea turtles and caught a red fish. We had a well stocked cooler with beverages courtesy of captain Randy and even on a hot day we had a blast on the water! We couldn’t recommend anyone else and will definitely be booking another trip the next Time we are in Port A!

Randy is a great guide and took real good care of us. We started out to the end of the jetties and the water became very rough. He immediately switched to plan #2 and we went inshore. Fished for trout for a while. When he heard the swells had died down somewhat he immediately took us out to the end of the jetties. He put us on the wright spot and we started catching bull reds. My wife became sea sick so Randy, being the great guide he is, immediately took my wife back to the marina. Then took me back out to the end of the jetties. When the trip was over Randy stayed with us until the fish were cleaned and offered to help load the cooler in the truck. Randy made this a great trip for me and my wife.

Cap’n Randy is an amazing person and an amazing guide. Even tho we did not catch as much as we wanted this morning I will be a return customer in the future. I’ve been out with Cap’n Randy in the past and have caught my limit on several species of fish around these Port A waters. Cap’n Randy worked his butt off trying to put us on fish this morning and I can appreciate that. He was very patient with my brother-n-law and father-n-law as they do not have much experience fishing. I highly recommend Cap’n Randy to anyone looking for good family fun. Tightlines!

We came to Port A and unfortunately we had bad weather the day we scheduled with Randy. However, Randy rescheduled us for the following day. What a day it was! We caught our limit of redfish and black drum. We even got an anniversary cookie and card Thank you, Randy for making our anniversary trip-one of the best we have ever had. Jimmy and Denisa Cheers to 31 years! ❤️

We had soo much fun fishing with Randy. All of ours were inexperienced fishers and he got us on fish. Most importantly he was able to help my son get one in that completely changed his day.(our son is the reason we booked the trip in the first place, he is the fisher in the family) but after a long bit of missing the catch, Randy was able to coach him through his mistakes and get him a good one. The wife and I had a great time watching the kids fish and hanging out on the boat. Totally recommend booking a trip with Randy and his crew

I am so grateful to have spent the day fishing with Captain Randy. He was incredibly positive, informative and kind. His wife even made me the most fantastic cookie because it was my birthday! To top it off she even spent the time to write me a hand written birthday card to go along with the cookie. The fishing was fantastic! Captain Randy had no problems putting us on the fish. Great people and great fishing!
