We booked this trip to celebrate my son's birthday, and it couldn't have turned out any better. We had the whole family with us—grandparents, uncles, cousins, everyone—and the crew made us all feel right at home. They were incredibly patient, taking the time to show my son and my wife how to use the gear and making sure everyone had a chance to get in on the action. Between all the laughs, the stories they shared, and the nonstop fishing, it was one of those days our family will remember for a long time. Best of all, we caught a ton of fish! The crew worked hard to keep us on them all day, and you could tell they genuinely wanted everyone to have a great experience. Thanks for giving my son a birthday he'll never forget. We can't wait to come back and do it again!

Capt Gary and his crew were awesome. They are super fun, professional, and nice. “Nobody on this boat wants to catch fish more than we do,” they said, and they were right! We set out to catch tuna, and they delivered. We reeled in three 60-lb yellowtails all at once. Amazing! Truly unforgettable day.

Captains Gary and Paul are the best! We had a family of 12 (ages 7-72) and everyone caught fish and learned a lot! So much fun, and Gary and Paul are really good, helpful captains! Highly recommend Michael D!

Our family (all adults, no young kids) had been looking forward to this trip, and it completely lived up to the hype. Captain Bruce was experienced, organized, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Steve was just as awesome — super helpful, funny, and full of great fishing tips. Their teamwork and energy made the whole day feel easy, relaxed, and fun. We caught plenty of fish, enjoyed beautiful views, and had a blast the entire time. The boat was in great condition, very clean and comfortable. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking for a fun day with family, this charter is a must. We had an absolutely amazing time with Captain Gary and Steve on our very first sea fishing trip! From the moment we set out, the experience was nonstop action - we were catching fish one after another, it felt like the excitement never slowed down. Both Gary and Steve made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable, sharing their deep knowledge of the waters and giving us tips along the way. They truly made us feel comfortable as beginners, and their expertise showed in how effortlessly they guided us through the day. Our group couldn’t stop smiling and laughing, and we left with not only plenty of fish but also great memories. If you’re looking for a fun, action-packed, and memorable fishing trip with captains who really know their stuff, we couldn’t recommend Gary and Steve more highly!

Praise only for the “Michael D” and our three captains: Gary, Bruce and Paul. They generously attended to a member of our party with special needs, borrowing a special chair from a neighboring boat, and hyping his efforts and successful catches. They gave clear, useful instruction, explained technology on the boat, and shared interesting stories about underwater wrecks. We caught plenty of Spanish mackerel, bonito and bluefish on our four-hour trip in early June. The boat and its bathroom are clean and comfortable, the captains kind and knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate to book your trip with the Michael D.

The trip was awesome. Not only was the crew super friendly they also know what they are doing. They taught some first timers what to do fast and efficiently, and where fast to assist with hooking bait and hooking fish so everyone was able to have a great experience. They knew some awesome spots as well. We must have hooked at least 80 between 5 people plus fish in four hours, 31 of which were legal size that we got to take home with us. Highly recommended and our first choice for a charter going forward.

Our 4th time back with Michael D Sport Fishing Charters and once again had a great time. Despite scheduling around the weather we all had a great time trolling and better yet catching a number of keepers. The crew is first class and makes our annual trip a highlight of our vacation time. We will be back next year!
