Captain Brien was absolutely fantastic. We caught 43 fish total, including spotted bass, white bass, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass, and had an incredible day on the water. He was extremely personable, made everyone feel comfortable from the start, and was very knowledgeable about the lake and the fish. What impressed me most was how well he worked with each person at their own skill level. Whether you were experienced or just getting started, he made sure everyone was involved, learning, and catching fish. No one ever felt left out. Captain Brien knew exactly where to go and what techniques to use to keep us on fish throughout the day. His patience, guidance, and positive attitude made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. I would 100% recommend Captain Brien to anyone looking for a great fishing experience, and we plan on making this an annual trip. Thanks again for an unforgettable day!
Absolutely incredible fishing trip from start to finish! The guide was knowledgeable, patient, and worked nonstop to make sure we were on fish all day. The boat, gear, and overall experience were top-notch. You can tell this guide truly loves what they do and cares about giving guests a memorable trip. Easily one of the best fishing experiences I’ve ever had — highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable day on the water. 5/5 without a doubt! This was not my first guided fishing trip and I have nothing but amazing things to say about him. Such a great guy and he truly has passion for his clients, could not recommend more. We booked a 4 hour private trip.
We had an absolutely incredible experience on our guided fishing trip! I took my two sons, and it turned into one of those memories we’ll be talking about for years. From the moment we got started, our guide Brien Vaughn was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made sure my boys felt comfortable and included every step of the way—teaching them techniques, encouraging them, and celebrating every catch like it was the biggest one of the day. You could tell he truly cared about making it special for us, not just going through the motions. Not only did we catch fish, but we learned so much and had an amazing time doing it. The whole trip was smooth, fun, and perfectly organized. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and excitement, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. If you’re thinking about booking a fishing trip, don’t hesitate—this was worth every minute. We’ll definitely be back!

Hooked on Branson did not disappoint. Bite was a little slow but Brien’s extensive knowledge of the lake and fishing expertise put us on some good quality fish. Brien made sure we had a good time and were satisfied with our fishing experience. i can honestly say that Hooked on Branson was the best guide experience we’ve had out of any the many trips we’ve booked in the past. Brien will not disappoint, you’ll have a blast and catch fish !
My son and I had a great time with Captain Brien. Knowledgeable and prepared - he kept those hooks baited and ready to cast. We caught several and will be back again! This trip was for all types and levels of fishermen. You can choose your fishing area.
