Operando salidas de pesca desde la ciudad de Nueva York, Austin Outfitters te invita a pescar en las aguas tranquilas y protegidas de Jamaica Bay, la bahía baja de NY y el New York Bight con comodidad junto a tus amigos y familia en busca de peces trofeo. Nuestras aguas locales albergan tanto Lubinas Estriadas residentes como migratorias, Fluke, Weakfish y Bluefish.

El Capitán Austin nació y se crió en Brooklyn y ha estado pescando en las aguas del NY Bight, NYC y Jamaica Bay durante más de 40 años. Ha trabajado en la industria pesquera durante más de 20 años y es autor de 250 artículos sobre la captura de diversas especies de peces en aguas de NYC.

Prepárate para usar equipos ligeros y técnicas como pesca de fondo, jigging y spinning, según la especie que estés buscando. Hablando de eso, tienes la opción de salidas de 3 a 6 horas, donde pescarás especies como Fluke, Lubina Estriada, Bluefish y Weakfish, dependiendo de la temporada específica y el clima del día.

Pescarás desde un Maritime Skiff 20D de 21 pies con consola central equipado con un motor fuera de borda Yamaha 115 de 4 tiempos. Es una embarcación seca, estable, extremadamente marinera con un diseño amplio y abierto que se alinea perfectamente con nuestra filosofía de pesca con equipo ligero. Tiene espacio suficiente para hasta 4 personas a la vez. Operamos desde dos marinas diferentes en cada lado de Brooklyn y organizaremos la salida desde la marina que nos acerque más a las zonas de pesca. Esto reduce considerablemente el tiempo de viaje y aumenta el tiempo de pesca para nuestros huéspedes.

En cuanto a cañas, carretes y aparejos terminales, todo lo que necesitas está incluido en el precio. Tu salida también incluirá todas las licencias de pesca necesarias para el día.

Puedes quedarte con todo lo que captures, siempre y cuando sea legal hacerlo.

Habrá snacks y bebidas de cortesía a bordo para tu conveniencia durante la salida, pero siéntete libre de traer tus propias bebidas o snacks si lo prefieres.

We took a chance spending one of our precious New York days out on the water instead of sightseeing, shopping or dining and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our entire trip.

I went fishing with Captain Austin and my two boys (9 and 11 years old), and it was absolutely epic. Austin is not only a master fisherman who knows Jamaica Bay like the back of his hand, but also an incredible teacher and guide, especially with kids. He was patient, kind, and turned every moment into an opportunity for my boys to learn, cast, reel, and have fun.

Everything about the experience was smooth, safe, and unforgettable. The views of Manhattan and Brooklyn from the bay are breathtaking, and the thrill of catching fish made it even better. My kids were beyond excited, and as a parent, watching their faces light up every time they felt a bite is something I’ll never forget.

After all the amazing things we did in New York — Times Square, Central Park, the musicals, shopping — this trip with Austin stands out as the most special moment of our vacation. The service, the attention to detail, the calm atmosphere on the water… it’s simply 100 out of 100.

Unforgettable Fishing Trip – Above and Beyond!

Austin was absolutely amazing! He waited patiently even though we were very late and never made us feel rushed; instead he stayed out late to make sure we got the experience of a lifetime. He went above and beyond to make the trip special—especially for my 8-year-old son, who caught an actual shark!  

Kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, he made the whole experience fun and memorable--complete with offering ice cold water and granola bars he keeps for guests. If you’re looking for the best guide out there, this is the one. Highly recommend!

As a visitor to New York, I wanted something more than city streets and skyscrapers — and Austin Outfitters delivered just that. In just one trip, we caught 15+ fish including beautiful Summer Flounder, and spent a blissful day immersed in nature. Captain Austin is a consummate professional: knowledgeable, passionate, and kind, with over 20 years of experience and a spotless, well-run operation. It’s amazing how close New Yorkers are to the water, yet how few truly enjoy it — sometimes it takes a visitor to show how much fun is waiting just offshore. If you’re in the city and want a unique experience that feeds the soul (and the family), this is it. 10/10 — highly recommended.
