I have been out several times with Markus both in Port Renfrew and Mill bay. It has been an excellent experience every time. Mill bay is great for winter spring salmon, rock fish, Ling cod, crab, and Prawn! Port Renfrew is spectacular fishing all around and you never know what you’re going to get. Halibut, Salmon, rockfish, ling cod, mackrel, black cod, crab, not to mention there are always sightings of whales. Marcus is professional and knows the local waters. The vessel is a comfortable and stable platform to fish from and his variety of gear is well maintained. Marcus always seems to know what the fish are biting on and I am looking forward to another trip this summer! Thanks Markus!

I'm hooked on Marcus Kennett Fishing Charters

I've chartered with Marcus for serval years now. Lately we've had 2 day charters in June, July and in August. The fishing is different each month regarding the spices caught and their size. 
Here are some of reasons we are so loyal.
- The boat (Bad Dog) is a semi displacement Cat, which smoothly cuts through chop rather than ride on the top of the waves. With big deep pontoons on each side it barely tips down when everyone rushes to the side to watch the fish come in. Bad Dog has up to date electronics (GPS, Sounder, Radar, Auto-pilot and more) and Marcus has rods, reels (even electric reels when the hali are hiding 480 ft down), hooks and bait  for every species.... And Marcus knows where they all hang out.
Marcus becomes a friend with his clients. He is reserved (not in your face with stuff you didn't ask about) yet a great conversationalist when you ask about his experience fishing, hunting or his other adventures. He'll get the fish cleaned in no time but if you want to see what's in the fish, he'll take what ever time you want looking at the guts.
